Just checked our Spanish bank account and in December we had 46.80 euros taken out of our account and with the description saying 'deposit maintenance commission'. We have set up no new direct debits and so we have no idea what it is for or who has took it, has anyone else had this amount taken from their account?

Most Spanish bank accounts come with a maintenance charge, around this value so that was probably it.
( by the way the font that you used is almost unreadable-try something else for future posts if I was you.)
