hi ya......we thought of getting one of those pellet burners, only cos we got a penthouse, cos the smoke would not disturb others.....like the bbq, only the penthouse's have them, but im pretty sure you need permision on that....but I think you could hide it well on the top floor apartments.....

Just a little word of warning,
1. You will find the the chimneys are all shared, sothey would need lining properly.
2. These biofuel pellets can be dangerous, just in storage, as they naturally give off carbon monoxide, throughout urope there has been fatalities. If you don't believe me just look on the HSE website.

We are just considering all options at the moment. We have dual air con at present but spent our first christmas on Condado and think maybe we need something alittle more substantial if we wanna stay longer in the winter months. We have friends who have one in their apartment in Greece and it is fab.
Thought about putting it against the wall in the dining area and having the flue/chimney so that it goes up the staircase. The rooms are so small that it could heat the whole apartment.
Its just a thought at this stage and will investigate further before we decide to buy one.

We bought an oil filled radiator from Leroy Merlin, not expensive, economic to run and kept our apartment very cosy with no risk of fire, building warrants or neighbour disputes. Probably not as pretty though LOL LIZ

Thanks LizzieB - something else to consider.
A friend on Camposol has sent us some info on log burners and a link to a spanish site so I'll peruse that for more info.
If it cant be done for whatever reason then so be it.
