Hi, can anyone recommend reliable and reasonable airport transfers Alicante to Condado and return?

I believe Greg is back in Uk and not doing this any more...Condado excirsions or adolfo are the only legal taxis!

I can recommend Condado Excirsions. Not heard of Adolfo I have also heard of others but  would not recommend as they are NOT LEGAL. might be cheaper but believe me its not worth he risk. We heard of two such companies pulled up by police whilst we were over last week. Cars were taken, passengers stranded until they could get a Legal taxi to pick them up which in one case, being a Saturday took almost an hour. Not the best start to your holiday

All rumours of cars being seized are just scaremongering! I know of noone in my 2 years who has used a non legal taxi and had this happen!! However I highly recommend Adolfo for being affordable, reliable and legal! Email vargasbusservicios@gmail.com for the attention of Adolfo, emails can be sent in English. Of course, Condado Excursions can be emailed on condadoexcursions@hotmail.com

The problem last Saturday was one of greg's cars which broke down not once but twice on the way home and after assistance by both Guardia Civil and Policia Local the visitors arrived on resort no worse for wear, 5 hours later!!! From what I have heard the police were amused and at no time asked anything about the driver or what sservice was being supplied. That was a LEGAL car hire company which provided the hire car to be delivered to the airport....perhaps next time some water might be put in the engine before setting off!!

It just sounded like Greg's car's weekend adventure told from a different angle, Guardia Civil actually escorted that car off the motorway and after they left it beoke down again.

As I said I dont know anyone on Condado who has had a problem but Im sure someone will fill us in!!!

I have mentioned this before and I'm sorry to bang on about it again but if you are in an unlicensed vehicle and an accident occurs then you have absolutely no chance of compensation.  Whether that be material items, your arm, your leg or your husband!!  The people who are licensed have taken a great deal of time, effort and, no doubt, financial risk to make sure they operate within the confines of Spanish law to ensure passenger security and safety.  Why shouldn't we respect this and give them the business?  It may well cost a few euros more but, for the aforementioned reasons, could prove the best option if anything untoward happens on the journey. 

I know someond who tried Adolfo last week and he said he was driving his lordy in Barcelona - so might hVe to saut a while for him!

This thread is about airport transfers, they can do any number from 1 upwards ;-

Transport between Condado de Alhama and the airports of Alicante and San Javier are also available, the cost of this service would depend on the number sharing the bus.  There is a €10 discount for round trips.

San Javier Airport		Alicante Airport
1 to 4	€50	1 to 4	€90
5 to 8	€75	5 to 8	€120
8 to 14	€100	8 to 14	€65

For numbers greater than 14  you would need to contact them with your requirements to obtain a price.

Oh and yes they have a Taxi license as well.

Adolfo is here on Condado. been out with him tonight, usual excellent service, would recommend him above all others.

Yes Phil would have to agree with that, he is a good guy with no edge to him.
