Anybody bought in Vegamar I residencial?

Just found this article about the Jimena Development on www.cadiznews.co.uk/straitsnews

It would be appreciated if anyone out in Jimena would post the latest photographs of the development showing the fences etc on the forum.

there seems to be a worry that some block 1 purchasers might go to court as they had an official contract with arenal who has gone back on their word. it adds that the mayor says that the habitation license will not be granted until all the contracts for block 1 have been cancelled which leads me to think that if they are returning money in August then it is not likely to be before that especially if there are any court cases pending.

I know I shouldn't be surprised but this has all come out of the blue. Work has been progressing nicely (if slowly) on the road over the last couple of weeks. I will try to get some photos uploaded in the next couple of days.

I have lost absolutley all entusiasm for this now. There is clearly very little chance of this completing this side of summer now so I and others will lose rental income over the high season. The town hall won't talk to me. My solicitor ignores me. Arenal have acted totally unreasonably. To cap it all, I have to drive past this white elephant on my way home from work every day. Oh well, summer is nearly here. I have no idea if pressure groups have any sucess in Spain but if anyone has any experience of this could they please share it as I think it is about time we pooled our thoughts and resources and started knocking on some doors.

There are local elections next month and it looks very likely that the opposing parties will use this development as part of their campaigns. Perhaps we will get this resolved one way or another then.

I have also heard today that someone who was promised their money back and was given an appointment to sign the cancelation and collect a cheque, has had that appointment cancelled. Arenal cannot be trusted
