Hi everyone,

My name is Brian and I live in the North West of the UK, I run a small business from home involving transport freight that I fortunately as long as I have reliable internet and phone signal can run from anywhere. I was looking for a place to suit a 6 months Spain and 6 months here and looking at value etc,etc was thinking of this place. I have small running costs in the uk as I live in a residential caravan but a nice one with lovely views so probably have around £35,000 "spare outlay" to put in but whats you guys views on this situation ? I would have liked the town/sea front walkable as a car because I would be "working" would not be really viable but it would have been nice on a quiet working day to stroll somewhere/s nice for a change.

Thank You

Brian

The views on terrazas are very nice but not really a sea view, it's about 12km to the nearest beaches you definitely need a car on this resorts as very little is in walking Distance,  you'd also need about approximately another  £20k  to buy here.

Los Alcazares would be better suited for what your after,  it has a 200 square mile lagoon great beaches,  not sure of prices down there but it's  worth a look.

Now is the time if you are going to do it.  Prices I believe will start to rise sooner or later and choice will diminish as stock is sold off.  Have a look round though - do not buy the first thing you see!

Hi

We visited in March and decided to purchase a two bed ground floor apartment with a large terrace, had a e-mail from La Vida Spain yesterday saying the bank are increasing the prices by 5,OOO euros at the end of July. You may have to increase your buget but still a good time to buy and it is well worth it, as it lovely.

Good luck

Torrevieja has some good priced properties at the moment - I often get sent them through by agencies - it big town with beaches etc if that's what you want.  I don't really tended to trust what estate estates - for instance many agents here will tell you they are sole agents for Bankia or Polaris world when they are not.  That being said we brought through Blue Med Invest and got a good price, and can't fault their inspection trip which is free accommodation.  If you can spare the time for an inspection visit do it - then you will see first hand what your buck will buy.

Do take a look at Terrazas and other resorts while out here we originally wanted coastal but fell in love with the feel of the resort.

Good Luck

Tina and Gary

Similar thoughts to Trina and Gary...we were looking for coastal properties, saw a lot around Torrevieja, then simply fell for the feel of the resort - the area too...Murcia is amazing!  It's a central location... Compared to what we could have bought elsewhere for the budget it is excellent.
