I have recently paid the IBI tax by direct debit to San Javier Town Hall. I have made this payment for the previous seven years via Lloyds/Banco Halifax Banks. I have always received a receipt by post from the Bank. The receipts always contained information which included the Valor Catastral figure used for the following year's Non Residence Tax calculations.
Now that Banco Sabadell have taken over, the IBI payment receipt for this year is only available online and a copy can be printed out. However, this latest receipt does not contain any relevant information from San Javier Town Hall.
I telephoned Banco Sabadell's main office and was told that I could get the required information from my local branch in Los Alcazares. I then telephone them and was told that Banco Sabedell does not have the information I require and that I should speak to my solicitor!!!
It looks as if I will have to make a trip to San Javier Town Hall to obtain the information. I am obviously paying an annual fee to a bank that does as little as possible to help its clients.
Has anyone else had this problem?
