Hi Nick
Are you actually at Roda?
If so you can pront your boarding pass (for a fee) at RodaFM or the Post Room in Los Alcazares.
The Post Room is in the little alley just off Balneario/525 Plaza

Hopefully this will negate the need to print boarding passes at Ryanair.

When using the Ryanair app boarding pass, can you have the whole family on the pass, or only one person per phone? And can you use this same scan on the phone to get through the automated barriers for each family member where you previously have to scan each pass to get through - as in Dublin airport, just to get through to the security area (similar to a ticket barrier in a train station where you put one ticket in and the barrier gate opens). Also, does the app open if there's no wifi in the airport, as can often be the case?
Just curious here. I think on initial viewing this seems a good idea, but I'll go the old printed ticket route until I know it's foolproof for a family - so as not to get unexpectedly charged extra at an airport when my phone has no wifi coverage or the rest of the family can't get through on the download on my phone.

@Pommers : the Ryanair app is not that bad, if you wanna go back, click on the three lines in left upper corner, a menu will open on the left
I've read the app to replace the paper boarding passes will only be available from the first week of September.

If you look at the reviews on the app store site they are terrible typical o'flannel great with the waffle but crap with the detail

Hi again Fons - I suspect it is just the way the app works on an android phone. It might be different on a iPhone. And my android is actually a fairly cheap Spanish made clone of an iPhone and things do work very strabgley on it at times.

Bev, I hate Iphones, mine is an android, made by Samsung,
I've never seen an Iphone clone running Android, I guess it's one of those cheap Chinese phones, and there are always problems with those
now that Samsung has released their new 'flagship' (the S5), the 'older' phones are once again getting cheaper, you can buy a S4 mini for less then 270 euro on the german Amazon site

Ah - but this one cost me about €100 euros and it's dual sim so I can have both my UK and Spanish phones operational. It's a BQ and they gets reasonable reviews on the net. Several of us in our village bought the same model without talking to each other as we'd all looked them up and they were on offer in MediaMarkt And as I far as I know it's not a chinese made one, although it could be.
When I say it's an iPhobe clone, what I mean is that it looks just like an iPhone. Loads of people commente when I got it as they all know my hatred for Apple!
Went on the net last night and did some searching about the new app and lots of people are saying that it is much better than the old one but they're still having major problems with it. Like casperruby I looked on google play and the reviews are very variable. And it is s l o w . . . I'm quite enjoying watching the little airplane flying round in circles.
The question I can't get answered though is whether the boarding card will still be available if I'm not connected to data, and whether it is just a single one you can download orwhether it is for the whole party. No details anywhere I can find yet in the net.

Hi
I've just had a reply fro ryanair answering none of tge questions I have asked which was when will they sort out the gliches with the app, if tgey bothered to look on app store where you download tge app they will see loads of dissatisfied customers complaining about the new app, but for interest heres what they said. The app is designed for those that purchase pre booked seats as they can check in on line up to 30 pre flight. If you dont wish to pay extra for seating then you can check in 7 days prior and use the app on your phone as a boarding pass at the gate for those with big families one would need to download all the boarding cards and go through them individually to show the machine. Might I make a sugestion that you do this well in advance and if your smartphone or tablet has the ability like most have you "capture"the image of each individual boarding pass as a photo and tgen if you cant get internet service at tge airport the you just scroll through the pictures and present them to thegmachine
