Yesterday I had a phone call from the electricity Co. in Spain saying the fault was with the developers and not with them. I have emailed Armando who is going to look into the matter.

There's a surprise! And I have already read and heard that Evemarina say that they will not pay for this problem, it is the fault of the electricity company.
This won't make many people happy. We thankfully didn't get effected by this problem, this time.
Oh well.. one more thing to add to the list for the Community meeting.

Further to add to the problem of the power surge, we had a clients apartment affected by this and it blew his boiler, even though the electric was turned off at the mains, my advice for future reference, would be to switch the boiler to the off position ( zero on the left hand switch, unplug your boiler from the mains supply and switch off the gas on the main inlet situated underneath the cupboard where the boiler is situated, turn the silver switch on the main copper feed pipe to the vertical position, doing all this will ensure that you will not get this problem in the future.
