Block 271

This is all if them , sorry again for the size .

Depending on how many workers that are on site in the new year if its a full crew I think 4-6 weeks left to get near completion. 

There has also been a lot of brickwork go up on 272 and 273 which is a good sign .

Thank you so much for taking the time to post pics and update us.  Such an imporovement from when we were last over.  Good to hear they are making progress with 272 & 273 aswell.  Can't wait for completion now so we can plan our next visit.

Several workers on site today which is good and unexpected I didn't think they would be back until the new year. 

Had a walk past and they were laying the edging bricks and hardcore to the undercover car park spaces.

Hi Richard, 

Brilliant update with those photos, you even got ours in a couple of them (first floor rhs when viewed from golf course side). It does look as if their last completion date of end Dec was a tad ambitious but at least we can see some real progress. I think we owe you a beer for all your efforts.

Taken just from the roof of 275,  workers were here until late on Thursday night. 

Sorry I meant Friday night,  off today.  Block is looking good. 

I'll take another walk round next week and get some more photos.

we put our first 2 payments on a first floor apartment here in block 271 which is 7! Years ago.

Went passed on my afternoon bike ride today , took a short video . 

About 15 vehicles parked up so plenty of builders on site , the car park spaces under cover are concreted,  the front is being landscaped ready for the gardens , plenty going on in 271 and 272.

Thanks for that, certainly seems to be plenty of activity. Based on your previous update I think what we now need is carpenters to fit internal doors and kitchens, decorators and electricians to do the second fit.

Final update as I leave today,  the pictures above shows the kitchens being loaded to all the apartments you can see the ones on the nearest  balconies. 

​More builders on site to kitchens are being fitted,  they shouldn't take long as there isn't much to them. 

The pavement in front of the block was poured last night,  boarding the ceilings in the corridors is in progress. 

​The crane has been in constant use for the past few days. 

Hopefully you won't be waiting to much longer if they continue at the same rate they currently are.

Im back out in February so I might just see a few of you.

We are out mid Feb so I am looking forward to seeing the progress first hand.  And maybe even having a drink in the new bar - you never know!!!

All, 

I had another moan to Maria at Sun Peninsula about missing the end of Dec completion date. Having the great Intel from Richard I was able to make it clear that we all knew how much work was outstanding. So the latest from her was all building work finished start to mid February. So this would put issuing the habitation certificate mid to end of March. She did say that there is a lot of activity now, so perhaps we could risk being optimistic and hope it's the earlier dates.

Good to hear Jim, that timescale is feasible if they keep the current amount of  labour on site,  I know it's late but it would be nice for easter and the summer months. 

I'm back out on the 28th of February so I'll update again if you want me to.

Hi,

Clive & I have just had a walk around 271.

Floor tiles are not finished on hallways & stairs grouting has not been finished.

Patio windows have only been fitted on ground floor & first floor.

Kitchens have not been installed, they are still in containers in the apartments.

No internal doors or wardrobe doors have been fitted yet.

Area around the apartment block has not been surfaced only the covered area

Do not despair all the works that we have listed should not take long to complete.

We are on the complex until Jan 24th if anyone would like any more info.
