Hi All
Can anyone tell me if you are with this company for your electric and roughly what you are paying? We have just had a bill for the last 2 months while it was empty and have been charged 76 euros standing charge. My keyholder doesn't think it should be that much (thank you for info Carol =) ) but I've contacted them and they said that is the price.
Any info would be grately appreciated
Thanks
Cathie

I believe everyone is with ibedroa on the resort as they are the only supplier, for an empty apartment with the mains switched off your two monthly bill should be around 45 euros, most of it is service charge ect, is yours a new purchase or have you had it a while, the reason I ask is because when I purchased mine ibedroa got my meter and someone else's in the block mixed up so I was paying for there electricity while I wasn't there I only became aware when like you I started getting higher than normal bills when I wasn't there, after many emails I had to involve my solicitor who sorted it. I would advise that you make sure your meter number matched the one on your invoice.

Hi
Our bills are around €68 for two months and we haven't been to the apartment since October.
I did notice on our previous bills though that we were being charged an insurance to cover supply and our electrical items. We hadn't requested this but l guessed it may be something they try to provide you when the solicitors set up the account. I emailed them and had it removed, it was roughly €10 per quarter l recall.
Hope that helps.

Hola
Check the meter readings using your last Iberdrola Factura
Bills are either estimated or calculated on actual readings
You can the see units used and charged for and all the standing charges, there are a few
No Factura go to the Iberdrola website
Register, takes a few minutes, usually setup with passport, or Nie
You can then view all recent Facturas
Good Luck

Hi Guys
Thank you for your responses.
I am registered to see my bills online as I print them off to check. This particular bill states that zero 0kWh have been consumed, just potencia facturada which translates as energy/power billed 49euros which I think this is meant to be standing charge (5,75 kW x 69 dias x 0,124295 euro/kW) plus rent of the meter which is next to nothing and then the protection insurance which Mike and Rachel have mentioned which is 10 euro for the 2 monthe - think I'll be emailing and asking that to be removed!
Would you all mind checking if you have the same standing charge?
Sorry to be a pain but I'm just suprised it's so much when the electricity is turned off and just want to make sure I'm not paying more than I need to!
Thank you in advance!
Cathie

Our electric bill is different every time and no one has been out since September. This last one is about 66 euros, need to pay them a visit when we're over to sort it out.

Hi
Resurrecting this old thread because I've just got our first electricity bill (96€) in English. I've spotted that we had both the Home and Payment Protections added (despite asking our solicitor for only basic contract) so I've requested Iberdola to remove these.
However I was wondering if I'm on the best tariff as the iberdola site mentions a "Connect @Holiday home" plan. I've tried looking for the name of our present tariff but can't see anything recognisable. Our bill showed the following:
Capacity invoiced (14/07/2015-31/07/2015) 5,75 kW x 17 days x 0,124295 /kW day
Capacity invoiced (31/07/2015-17/09/2015) 5,75 kW x 48 days x 0,124295 /kW day
Energy invoiced (14/07/2015-31/07/2015) 33,74 kWh x 0,160072 /kWh
Energy invoiced (31/07/2015-17/09/2015)95,26 kWh x 0,155469 /kWh
Are these charges in line with what others are paying please? Although they aligned with one earlier post (sgw869), I was thrown by Richards (Richa4) figure of 46€ for two months.
Hope someone can help
Thanks

For a basic 2 month provisioning charge on your tariff, you are looking at €43.60. €57.42 after adding meter rental charges and taxes. * updated as I originally used the Iberdola Homes rate instead of the Home Plan rate. Figures now correct for Home Plan
They tend to put people on the Home Plan with insurance thrown in free for the first two months. So, you won't notice the insurance on your first bill. It will add €10 + taxes to subsequent bills so beware.
I transferred to the Conect@ Electricity Holidays plan. It has a 2 month provisioning charge of €36.36 with the 10% discount. €48.22 after adding meter rental charges and taxes. You also get cheaper per Kwh costs for electricity. I switched online using the "New Offers" link.
For comparison, my charges for the same period were
Capacity invoiced (18/07/2015-31/07/2015) 5,75 kW x 13 days x 0,115187 /kW day 8,61 €
Capacity invoiced (31/07/2015-17/09/2015) 5,75 kW x 48 days x 0,115187 /kW day 31,79 €
Energy invoiced (18/07/2015-31/07/2015) 61,2 kWh x 0,131089 /kWh 8,02 €
Energy invoiced (31/07/2015-17/09/2015) 225,97 kWh x 0,126486 /kWh 28,58 €
Demand C. Discount 10% s/40,4 -4,04 €
Electricity tax 5,11269632% s/72,96 3,73 €
Meter equipment rental 61 days x 0,02663 /day 1,62 €
IVA 21% s/78,31 16,45 €
TOTAL INVOICE AMOUNT 94,76 €
My total bill at €94.76 was less than yours despite using more than twice the electricity - we used the aircon a LOT in Aug/Sep !
RichA4 was probably referring to basic supply charges before meter rental and taxes.
Hope this helps.

Just a little extra information Jim.
Conect@ Electricity gives you 10% discount off your consumption charges
Conect@ Electricity Holidays gives you 10% discount off your supply charges
The cheapest plan will depend on whether your consumption is normally higher than your supply charges. I guess you would actually need to live there for this to happen. In that case, Conect@ Electricity would be best. As an occasional visitor to my apartment, the Conect@ Electricity Holiday will always be cheaper for me.
