i understand there is a guy who can move furniture from the UK to Spain, I think his name is Rod, Rob or Ray. Can anybody provide contact details please ?

Yes and many others we know.  He lives just  between Mar Menor golf resort and Roda golf and has no problem you visiting him there if you wanted to reassure yourself.
