Car Hire Top up Insurance

Hi can anyone recommend a good top up car insurance company please

be careful though, not all local hire companies accept them and will still ask for large deposit.

I have had insurance4carhire for the past 5 yrs and at £39 a year it makes a lot of financial sense even for a single weeks rental.

Having said that I have never had to claim on it ! but all their literature reassures me!

(Then again ive read other literature that promised me a hotel , commercial center and beach club! )

It is my understanding that I pay the excess on any claim and then I reclaim it from insurance4carhire.

I have always had to have the excess blocked on my credit card but after 30 + rentals with different rental companys ive never had a problem regarding the excess.

I have had policies with them for a couple of years (they also cover UK Car hire). The Car Hire co's do wack a hefty deposit if you don't take their policy, and do check taht evrything is covered. One of the things they try to worry you about is lack of accident or breakdown ccover if you don't take their policy but this is covered by icarHireInsurance..

My nephew who lives in Valencia and has an American wife, he has the global policy which saved him over 400 dollars in a trip to the states a couple of years ago. They did have a problem with the hire car and had to make a claim on his iCarHireInsurance policy which was dealt with swiftly with no problems at all.
