I own a 3rd floor apt on La Tercia which doesn't have a roof over the balcony, although this is a bonus for looking up uninterrupted at the stars at night :D
 
My question is has anyone on here managed to fit an (approved by the Community), awning and/or blinds in the absence of the roof to make it an optional enclosed space?  I'm looking for ideas so hoping someone can help.

Have a word with the Administrators on what is approved nad not approved.  There are owners with top floor apartments with Balconies who have got retractable blinds over their balconies.   Hope this helps.

Well I emailed the administrators a month ago and thy haven't responded, so if anyone on here is willing to show me what they've done, I'll be over next week :)
