We have rented holiday lets for 3 weeks at a time on Roda staying on a ground floor apartment the first time then twice in a townhouse.
the apt was nice and I love the finish on the properties. The first week went well as nobody was upstairs, then the Spanish owners turned up. They obviously loved watching Western cowboy films as we were subjected to constant loud TV noise with surround sound gunfights. What narked me was that being elderly they would fall asleep during this noise whilst we suffered the sound effects. We could also hear upstairs shower and toilet flushing at night. I did actually knock on their door a couple of times to ask them to turn it down but despite being in they did not answer the door.
The marble floors probably don't help in transmitting noise. We then rented townhouses which was better but you still could hear chairs and furniture being moved.
i would suggest renting an apt for a couple of weeks to see if any noise is acceptable to you as each person is different with different tolerance levels.
