Anyone got any news on MM2?

Thanks for the replys guys. Unfortunetly I paid my 40% in good faith thinking the bank G would not be an issue. It was paid over 12months ago now. I only started pestering them 5 months ago. It looks like Ive a lot more pestering to do.

Can somebody please tell me exactly what the bank guarantee is or looks like?  I have the receipts for POLARIS WORLD
for the money which I have paid.  But if there is something else which I should be getting from them

The bank guarrantee is a single sheet of paper  all in spanish issued by Caja de Ahorros del Mediterraneo it includes your name,the apartment number you are buying at the resort you are buying into, the money paid over plus ref numbers from the bank anda squigle (signature)over the banks stamp. Good luck, keep chasing via solicitor and PW customer care, Bank guarrantees do exist I eventually got mine for both 25% and 15% payments - you never know you might get them before bulding is complerte !!

The news today about a building company in Spain going to the wall, coupled with the constant news about the credit crunch has got me looking at my situation. After checking through our Polaris World info. it appears that I have not received the bank guarantees either, like many others on this site.

I cannot find an email address to contact them, only a telephone No.  Has anybody out there got Polaris's email, if not I'll phone them direct.

there is an email contact option on PW's owner website, but I wouldnt bother, I have sent several messages but only had telephone responses - dont think PW like to put anything in writing that might be used against them. Best is to phone Customer service, again and again. Although to be fair they have improved lately and sent me an apartment layout recently in response to my request - Suzie has been very helpfull.

Can anyone tell me when Mar Menor  is to be ready? as I keep getting different dates my solicitor told me today it would be the end of 2009 I am  confused.

We have been informed that the Villas will be ready by the middle of 2009.  Some friends who are resident on MM1 just came back and report that the work appears to be ahead of schedule and that March may be a more realistic timescale.

The apartments are ahead of the villas but the whole  site may not be complete until the end of 2009 - that is including the facilities.  remember that the hotel and 9 hole golf course was originally promised for MM1 residents before they took occupancy.

Does anyone have updated photos of Mar Menor 2?

I am going to MMGR on Sunday for 2 weeks and will be taking pics but I'm not sure that they will be of the area that you want.  I will post when I return.

Is everything ok at PW HQ in Basilicas, no one seems to be manning the phone in customer services and the PW intranet seems to be down

No other sites are reporting a problem. Could it be a holiday? Unlikely I know as I would expect the office to be open 52x7.

Hi All

Just posted 6 pics from various parts of the site but it is difficult to get good shots.

I heard that Polaris have contracted a builder to complete the site by July 2009.  There are penalties if this does not happen but also bonus if they complete earlier.  It seems that they have disposed of the building side of the company (desarollo) and are concentrating on development.

This is consistent with their recent disposal of the hire car business (it s now contracted through Europcar) and they intend selling the garden centre.

All of this will generate cash at a time hen they probably need it.  They have just completed on another site recently and will also have a good cas inflow from that too.

Hi would anyone be able to tell me the official start date of the building works on Mar Menor phase II?  Can't seem to find it anywhere!!

I was never told what the start date was to be but I do know that they commenced work in January last year.  This makes sense because the projected finished date is around the same time they said it would take i.e. June 2009

You have posted some photo's dated 30 December 2008. I can see that they are of blocks arounde the lake but can you please identify the Block Numbers ?.

Anyione else got any updated site photos ?

Hola, just spent a week over on mar menor resort in a house backing on to mm2. All Apartments and villas appear to be structurally completed, lots of work  going on from 7.30 am to 7.30pm. all seems to be external plastering and painting, they were laying the top surface on the roads and marked out parking spaces this week also. Polaris world say all should be complete by first half of this year. Have a few photos will try to load them.

A word of warning be sure to get your property snagging done thoroughly as they will wash their hands once deal is done. Heard a few stories of damage caused to underground  plumbing on phase 1 due to drilling etc on phase 2 P W dont want to know.
