Happy Birthday to both recent contributors - you can celebrate your next one in Mijas I hope, though weather here in Spain is not as good as UK right now
I am working in Marbella and Malaga from 6th to 14th May so I will try and get to site a few times and see if there is anyone I can chat with and take some more photos. I was last there in February so I should be able to get a feel for the real on site progress in the 3 months that I've been away. If anyone wants to know anything specific post it on here or emal it to me at tom.johnston@impdirect.com and I will try to find someone to ask.
Gill is right about the dreadful translation on the web site, the english version really isn't encouraging but in Spanish it makes more sense and is positive (of course) but I also feel heartened at progress and the efforts they are now making to keep us informed. Doesn't erase the last two years of shambolic mis-management but its a new broom as Sandra says and I echo her words on the chances of getting your money back and the challenging prospects for selling. Its no white elephant, and its no golden egg either, but from what I saw in February I think we will not come out too bad on this deal compared to many many others I know who have had a much worse experience than us. We will end up with spectacular apartments/house which, IMHO, are up with the best in the south of spain.
It is a pity few developers in Spain speak English but Englands not much better - I have spent the last three weeks back in London trying to get several tradesmen to sort out work on my house there which I rent out and I think next time I will need to learn Polish and Romanian before I start working wiht them
Thank god that at least here they do speak Spanish
Tom
