News just in

I heard the following from an "official source" last Friday:

"The developer’s lawyer has explained that the bank is already dealing with the building works. Just awaiting news from the bank regarding new completion date."

My interpretation of the above news is that the bank is now going to finish the condesa development. Presumably this means Majestic is out of the equation. If anyone has seen any notices put out at the site, or if anyone has any information which backs up my hunch, please let us all know.........

I heard something similar from a buyer at another Majestic development.

 

visited site today and can confirm that majestic have vacated the site and the office has been cleared.security confirmed that they left last week.all my phone calls remained unanswered over the last two weeks. the site remains deserted.suggest you all contact your lawyers as to what the future holds

 

This is very worrying news.  We're contacting our lawyers, Manzanares, who seem to be acting for several buyers.  If anyone has any further news, please keep us all advised.

Hi ,everyone.....my solicitor informed me today that there is a court date set for 16th January for Majestic to make their case (Sol Mijas Developers). I want to publicise our case by contacting the press. Would anyone like to join me at the court for publicity purposes?

 

I am also contacting Banco Pastor to let them know the situation!!

Hi Gill, Could you pls explain what you are trying to get publicity for. As you know, Majestic read every message on this site - so pls explain how this is going to work. It is not clear what the court case is for anyway ? As far as I know this is a done deal. Majestic moves on, and a new developer finishes the work. What will the court case achieve ?

Its about time that Majestic came clean especially to those who they sold to as an investment. They simply need to explain their current situation and what the future holds instead of using junior members of staff to contribute to this forum. An official statement from director level would be most welcome as well as being professional and courteous.....some hope!

I giesss what you are hoping to achieve through the court is some sort of transparency.

I am trying to obtain a refund of my deposit...I am wondering the same thing...I have wasted enough cash on Spain.....I will NEVER invest in the place again...TOOOOO MANY SHARKS!!!!

 

I can't get hold of my solicitor until next week........the bank themselves have not contacted anyone then?

I, like many others, am now fed up with the waiting and would like my deposit refunded. What's the general feeling - is this possible ? Would it cost more than its worth in solicitors costs ? How long would it possibly take ?

Do you have an email address for the Banco Pastor?  If so, perhaps we can all put some pressure on the bank to do something quickly.

To date, I have parted with almost 10k euro....but to add to the cost my solicitor is based in Guadamar Costa Blanca. The bank has not had the decency to contact any of us I take it?

Hello Gill, Have just browsed a couple of forums and noticed you are posting on Casares del Sol and Majestic Gardens message boards. These developments have had the same problems La Condesa is experiencing and if you have purchased in Majestic Gardens you will be aware of concerns regarding completion of the development. Someone, somewhere, must know what is happening at La Condesa. Why do you think the bank should contact you? You must have heard ¨You are in Spain now¨said to you a million times to explain why things are going wrong. Get hold of your lawyer, Banco Pastor, even Stephanie from Majestic and if you manage to get any information I am sure other purchasers will grateful.

I bought on Casares (disaster as well) Majestic Gardens.....I just wanted to see how bad things were there!  I have invested over £110k in Spain......30% deposits.....and feel totally sick over all this!

Just to keep you up to date on progress at La Condesa. As you all know, the new developer, José Luis Cortes have already begun progress with a healthy work force onsite. Regarding one of the posts on the site, I would also like to take the opportunity to clarify that Gill Malouf is NOT an owner at Majestic Gardens. If Gill, you are confused as to the development that you have purchased, please give us a call and we will be happy to clarify this with you. I think these forums are a useful tool for research when the intentions are not to mislead others.

Stephanie - what is Majestic's role in this development now ?? Could you pls help enlighten us. If Jose is building condesa, what is Majestic doing with it ? Many Thanks.

Majestic have sold their debt to this new developer.....that's the way I read it. Please anyone correct me if I'm wrong. This new developer will now deliver the product.

You all need to be reassured that their are no extra monies to be paid over and above what you first thought was going to be the final price also that the building spec. remains the same with the same level of finishes.

If Majestic were a half decent and professional organisation all investors would by now be fully aware of all the facts.
