Hi,
We checked the water meter today and the hot water is connected as the meter was going around in the cupboard outside the front door. But we ran it for 20 minutes and no hot water came out! Does anyone know who we need to talk to to get this working? I understand that we bought sold as seen, but we were told that the apartment had hot water via solar panels and English TV. We could not check this until we connected the electricity and water. We could not do this until we bought the apartment! We were given a new number to contact today for water and TV which is - 968 157 486. They also have a new office on HDA. Near the tapas bar in the Spanish village. BUT they seem to be on holiday this week! The administrator seems to have changed.

Hot water. If your meters are properly switched on/connected in the cupboard outside your apartment and you still aren't getting hot water then you need to speak to Annie at the new management company (for Oasis only) on 968 041 750 to get the solar panels connected. It is now their responsibility but you will have to push very hard for this to be done. They are based at Mar Menor resort which is half an hour away so its a bit of a pain if you want to go there in person. Took us 6 days in total to sort it all out but we didn't even know who to complain to initially.
TV. This is the responsibility of Grupo Alze who are in the Spanish Village now. There are issues with the TV connection as lots of blocks require a now obsolete part and it is having to be specially made. They are apparently aware of the problem and are getting this sorted but I don't know when it will be. We used a streaming device so that we could at least watch internet channels when we were there.

We have Wimax, the one you can switch off when you aren't there and not be charged. It's very good although there are some heavy upfront charges for the router etc. Home Kare organised it all for us.
We used Kodi on an Amazon Firestick for TV, movies, sport etc plus Netflix worked over there (again via the Firestick).

We had the EGM today and have learnt a bit more. The administrators did not know the issues and are working on it. If you contact them they can get things sorted for you. They also have a list of what what is now connected. E.g. Solar panels. The TV they are also sorting out. Fingers crossed! We met some very nice people today at the EGM. I think it will become a great place to live once we sort out a few niggles! Mare Nostrum seem quite good from what the chap said today.

That is good news. Unfortunately couldn't attend as we are in UK. I think it will be a great place to be and hopefully we can build a good community. Our apartment is in Plaza Malta.
