Air Con system KAPUT!

Hi all, 

I'm just wanting some advice on replacing the full air con system.

Our system has finally packed up after 10years & we can't get parts for it.

Just wanting an idea on price?

We have been quoted £1900 for an LG system.

Well that's better than the €2600 I was quoted!  Ours still cools but the heating element doesn't work. I think we were quoted for an LG system too.  Who dealt with yours?

That's the same company who quoted us €2600.  I haven't looked for other quotes yet, but will later on in the year.  There is a company Emasur, http://www.instalacionesemasur.com/contacto.html, who I have been told are good - think I will try them when I get another quote.

I've used Clizama who are in Pilar De Horadada, not sure exactly where you are, but could be worth a call?

Usually in a heat pump AC unit there is a 4-way valve which is what changes from heating to cooling, sounds like that has got stuck?

We are in Duquesa Villiage.

The system which Ros y Falcon put in originally isn't the best (apparently) & we cannot get parts for it anymore.

The system with Coolwaves is an LG with a 2 year guarantee.

Last year in July, Coolwaves has exchanged our system into a Toshiba.

We also lives in Duquesa Village and Steve, the Coolwaves owner, knows the situation in DV so well, it wasn't neccesary for him to watch the situation.

The costs were 2400 Euro, and they've fixed it in 6 hours.

We were very pleased with Coolwaves!

That's good to hear, Ernest.  When I do eventually get around to replacing the unit, whatever other quote we get, will bear that in mind.  Good service is always a plus.
