What can I expect in the town?

Hi all,

Looking to complete in a few weeks and I was just hoping someone might give me an idea of what Corvera is actually like. It looks a sleepy little place on Google Earth. We have been to a liitle bar called El Perillas which was fab and VERY Spanish. We only stopped for a spot of lunch and a couple of beers. We didnt have a clue what we were ordering lol.

Are there a few restaurants that are worth trying? Maybe bars? I have done a bit of googling and I've seen a hardware store (fab...I can buy replacement locks, hopefully) a hairdressers and I think I saw a small supermarket. Are the larger supermarkets very far away or can I get most of what I need locally?

Corvera town is very Spanish - a large part of its appeal.

There are all the services you could need, bars, restaurants, chemist, banks, doctors, supermarkets. The supermarkets in town are well stocked and have pretty much everything you for day to day needs. As you say there is a hardware store which again is well stocked. There is a local market on Sunday with various stalls, don't forget to try the roast chicken shop for your 'takeaway' Sunday lunch.

There is a Mercadona supermarket in Fuente Alamo. Murcia has a very large Al Campo supermarket in the same complex as IKEA
