We are intending on purchasing the 3-bed townhouse in the Spanish Village as visited the resort in May and was extremely impressed with the house and whole complex. However, the only downside was the resort seemed rather vacant and uninhabited. Considering we have 4 kids methinks they might get rather bored if there aren't children on the site.
With respect to the smells I must be honest never noticed it during my visit as viewed various apartments and the townhouse i.e. El Oasis, Pueblo Espanol and Los Olivos. Hopefully, shall be visiting again with the wife before the end of the year and decisions shall be made on purchasing the townhouse.
PAre the shops in the Spanish Village now fully occupied and has the pool now been completed. Also, was informed that 46% of the Townhouses had been sold have been sold are they tnow fully occupied. Are the remaining houses now sold?
Would welcome comments and views on the Spanish Village. Muchas Gracias.

I had a walk around the spanish village last month, september. I have not seen any new shops as of yet being opened.
There was the tapas kiosk. The pool in spanish village not yet finished. I have not seen it.
Indeed the build quality is good in this complex, its good value for money ,but i think they are still empty and still trying to sell and market it.
Have a look around on different times of the day or different seasons...

In the latest investment plan, there is provision for a pool to be constructed for the Spanish Village.
It was rumoured to be the first piece of the puzzle but as yet has not been started. The remainder of the investment was to allow the hotel to be let to a Hotel Chain. There has been som erecent activity at the hotel with old furniture being removed in the past couple of weeks.
I have been informed recently by Simon Parks at HomeKare Agents (On HDA Resort) that it is now possible to lease the units in the Spanish Village. I am unsure at to what stage this is at at this time but I understand there have been a couple that are in the process of being let.
The 'New' Murcia Regional Airport also seems to be progressing with the bidding race effectively being ended with AENA being the sole remaining bidder. This has been a long saga and I suspect will rumble on but I see this as progress in general.
The long and the short of it is in my opinion HDA is a resort on the up with some potentially great things to come. It has always been a resort that has been cared for thoughout the years despite the economic situation, others have not been so lucky!!!!

I think its best to ask the" Administrator " of this community residential complex. An official documented source, would be more helpful for you in you decision to buy or not.
In my personal opinion, there has been may" talks" all the years about this "pool. " But is yet to be seen. ..
but on a positive note, there are investements plans, also quality build is good here. And the golf views are nice.
There are childrens parks, sports activities, bike trails, within the resort of HDA, and a public pool in town of Fuente alamo is nearby.
also, bear in mind, that Spanish Village" / Pueblo Espanol. In Hacienda del alamo , was built as a "commercial town centre " mix with residential units. So i think the pool, was not in the original concept/ theme. Also,This is not uncommon in other resorts: Mar menor golf has " la goletta" has no pool, and the town centre of La torre golf resort , has no pool. But i am not sure how do they get access to the other Community pools within the complex.
Have a visit, and take a look again, only you can decide what really is important for you. "Swings and roundabouts."
goodluck.

Hi all, we own a townhouse in the Pueblo Espanol on h d a. Couldn’t be happier..
its a holiday home with a view to retire later on..
the houses are lovely and all properties are a decent size and well built.
the golf course is one of the best, the sports facilities are vast and varied.
i will look forward to dragging my carcas down the gym in the Spanish villiage!!
pits quiet..the pool is coming ( been measured out and ground tested) as is the covers airport.the hotel is going to open very soon.
sareb have invested a lot of money this year so all moving along nicely we hope..
the shops are now being advertised for lease..it’s all starting to come together.
its certain in my view that hda will become a fabulous top rate busy popular place.

Hi Becy,
Last year, we bought a townhouse in the Spanish Village, and each time we visit, we can see a little more progress in the resort. I am sure that, like us, you find it all very exciting, and although we haven't been there as much as we would like, we look forward to the time when we can stay there permanently.
I don't doubt that all the proposed developments will take place - with many of the biggest changes happening this year. (Our own Fiesta, Corvera, Hotel, Swimming Pool, shops, restaurants, gym.) We are looking forward to it all. Maybe we'll meet at some time too!

We are almost nearing the completion of our purchase on the townhouse in the Spanish Village, however, we've encountered a difference in the valuation and selling price.
Anyone encountered this sort of problem it is our second purchase and trying to resolve this issue hopefully shall be sorted by the end of next week. Fingers crossed.
We absolutely love the resot it would be a great shame if we have to pullout of the purchase.

I have just brought a 4 bed 4 bath villa on HDA and the banks valuation was €40,000 less than the purchase price.
This was ridicules because you try and find a property of the size and land that my villa was on elsewhere and he couldn’t. Especially one on such a prestige complex. I say that because it is and will be in time. My mortgage (70% of the purchase price) wasn’t effected and Bankinter still loaned the 70% of Purchase. I even ask Serab to drop their price accordingly. The refuse as they can sell it next year the year after for asking price and/or more and are not desperate to sell. So depending on who you are getting a mortgage with ( I am bless that I didn’t need to get a mortgage if the worst came to the worst but while the rate is as low as it currently is - I took a mortgage as it will return to €1.25 plus in the next year or two and that’s £20,000 difference I’m better off when it does. Suggest if your lender does lend against purchase price only valuation then go elsewhere - they all want the business. Also it’s going to be by far the best resort in Murcia region give it a few years. Good luck
Stuart

Is "Spanish Village Community" ever going to have a swimming pool built for them? I heard theres no signs as of yet of this coming into fruition?
as far as i know, They are not officially and legally Allowed to use the El Oasis facilities or Los Olivos pools, etc.( which is fair enough since the owners are paying for all the costs, uokeep, repairs etc.)
By the New Hotel " Hacienda del alamo golf resort & spa, has just opened. It looks good , nice and has nice pools.

Yes indeed, the hotel in "HDA golf resort and spa" is open but i think official opening will be October i think, but people can have a look around as its open for viewing, theres also a restaurant and a bar. A Lovely hotel. Looks tropical with palm trees!
Theres A new Supernarket located in the Spanish village. and a new cocktail bar by the entrance of the Resort too.
with regards to the " pool in " Spanish Village" ... Its yet to be seen. I have not seen any digging yet! Hopefully they will soon! As one can only hope.
yes, the "el Oasis " facilties and pools are NOT open for outsiders that do not belong to this Community (el Oasis, ) the owners in "el Oasis" are paying substantial amount of money for, their facilties, i hope people do realize it and stop coming over there as it is indeed not considerate of them and in fact not official and legal. In Los Olivos community , it is also not allowed to go,and use their pools! But theres always those problems....
Spanish village is coming to life, but the " pool".. Hopefully they will build, them, it would make everyone happier!
Goodluck all!

Pool almost finished at the back of the spanish village, Another restaurant has opened, also the little bear tapas bar.The hotel has now got its Sheraton name badge up, the new hotel owners are also investing heavily on the golf course in 2019, Corvera airport will accept its first flights in jan 2019, They have agreements in place to spray the area 2 a week in summer to keep the fly situation under control so everything seems to be moving forward nicely.

We purchased a 4 Bed / 4 Bath last year here after 6 years at Condado.
The place isn’t a busy as CDA but to be honest we couldn’t wait to get away from there. CDA was like HDA is currently 7 years ago and started to make it easy for anyone to buy there and killed its identity
If you want busy with kids flying about all over the place then buy in a 3 star complex like CDA - if you want a 5 star complex which is busier than it looks with a better class of owners then HDA is the place. There is lots to do you just have to look for it and know it’s only going to get better.
Dont hang about too long as prices as climbing and will only get higher next year with the airport opening.
Hacienda is a great resort and a place you can choose what type of holiday you want chilled or busy - CDA you can’t !!
