hi, we have just returned from sierra golf on 26/05/07.
we are about to sign on the dotted line for a "open plus".
we wondered if there is anything we should be aware of on this development before we do.
thank you

Hi, if anybody is buying through Masa International i would think twice they are advertising key in hand on sierra golf which is not true. They also are showing false pictures and telling everybody the club house and hotel exist , i am living quite close to this project and have met several people who have said the salesman told them it was key in hand in fact one couple sold up and came over intending to move in on the information they were given back in england, these people are just habitual liars and its about time someone kicked their backsides, its just a sales pitch with them to get more sales not taking into consideration the problems they are causing, but do they care do they hell.

Hi,
Maybe they are giving everyone who buys now a key, They just have to wait until a) the security man allows them on site and b) It may not be the house key. Or maybe they can go live there if they can do without water, electric, or maybe we are all being too sceptic and we will wake up in the morning the postman at the door with a letter to tell us :hurry up your house is here for you to move in, what are you waiting on, or maybe our letters have been lost in the post after all it does happen. Anyway the first party will be the best after all weve had long enough to arrange it.

Hi, I agree re MASA International, if you see my prevoius posts from April, you will see when I went to one of their exhibitions - just to see what I could find out- these particular guys new nothing. They are just an agent selling for many builders. They had no specific info on SG, not even where Balsicas was.
Like any agent they will tell you what you want to hear to get you to sign on the dotted line. We, like many others, bought direct in Spain through MASA. If we can't get any info I'm sure they can't as they are not a "preferred agent"
My advise would be to anyone is to do your home work, read this site and then make up your mind based on what you know, take any agents garble with a pinch of salt --- at least until 1 of use gets a key and actually moves in.
I am sure we will all be shouting about it when we do eventually get that wonderful letter.
It will be lovely, I can't wait - but have resounded myself to having to, but for how much longer ???????
Impatiently waiting

Hi all
We have bought an open plus but Masa must have hidden the basement can anyone enlighten me , could it be above the roof terrace?
We've noticed some people have had cashback from Atlas was it initial inspection trip costs or something we haven't been told about.
Thanks to all the messages in support of our last groan. We live in Looe Cornwall
To the guy who is trying to collate various skills I'm a skilled motor mechanic hope that helps.
Hasta etc.

Hi Brian and Sonya, are you sure you have bought an Open Plus, We know ours is an OPEN we saw it when we bought, but all our paperwork from Atlas says Open Plus, the only difference is 10,000 euros for the basement....... RG

Hi all, can confirm the cellar in the open plus i have been in side it and beloeve me its big, i am thinking of converting it into an apartment, so that we even more room.
with regard to cash back offers fron atlas, i know nothing of this, we just had 5 days out there with them, £50 per couple for inspection visit with ALL meals thrown in at some very good places. could not knock them at all.
2nd visit planned in a few weeks time to sign up;

Hi Brian and Sonya,
I can also confirm that the Open Plus does have a very large basement, as we have been in one, we also thought about converting it to an apartment, but you need to look into the legalities as to being able to put in drains and plumbing etc and also from the safety point of view for way of exit in case of a fire.
The point I was making about checking if you had purchased an Open Plus was to ask if you had actually seen your house or if you were buying from Atlas off plan. We saw our house an OPen without a basement and that is what we put our deposit on. But all the paperwork from Atlas still says an Open Plus, they have just got it wrong. When we received our contract etc that did say Open.
Also we receiving a £2,000 cashback from our initial deposit which apparently was a specially offer at the time.
