Oh Dear what have we done?

Just found the forum by accident, not sure if I should have. It's Alan and Mandy Reed, we were due to move to sierra golf Albatros M11-22 as we thought in April. Having moved heaven and earth to be ready, sell our house in the uk, loads of boot fairs, sell the furniture, well some of you will already know how it is, and it's not ready. Anyway, according to Atlas we should be ready to move in around July. On the strength of this we have set a date to exchange our uk home, booked the ferry (dog does not like flying), booked the air ticket for the mother-in-law, I know I know, but it had to be done, booked a rental property for a month, should be all ok, then I found your forum. Oh dear what have we done?  Is it as bad as it seems, is there a light at the end of your long and our short tunnel? We were at SG at Easter and I must admit it did look a long way away from being ready, but we were assured that changes do come sometimes quickly, you all must have heard the line from the rep 'I was here just last week and none of this was done, now look at it'. well I'm sure we will get to meet lots of you very soon probably looking longingly over the site perimiter fence asking, Oh dear what have we done?

Welcome to the despairing group that we are - hope does spring eternal - however brother visited last week - monday - despite the view of many the roads are a long way from completed although most garden walls are built, kitchens in & we are told furniture is in situ in the majority - I understand the MASA site rep was about as helpful as a smack in the belly with a wet fish - had not been to the school where you learn to smile or speak other than a grunt - but no doubt she has her cross to bear with lots of disgruntled customers.

The habitation certificates have been applied for - however I think July is optimistic by the sound of things - on the bright side if you are renting out there - there is plenty of property available.

Hi..all we are rob/sue

And we are moving to SG (when its ready) so it would be nice to get to know you all, on here?

we was told it would be ready in (jan 07)...house completed...but front walls to be built and road....

masa said they can not put a date on completion as the inferstructure is not ready...

our place is on (m11 open).......and like you we can not wait to get out there..and we are taking our 2 dogs with us(hope they adjust to the heat)...

we are going back out next month to have a look, if you need pics, let us know...

Hi Rob & Sue, Alan & Mandy, we are going to Spain 20/6 driving down with the dog and renting for a while, so we may see you there. Atlas our agents e-mailed us today Tue 15  to say sorry for the delay, but there may be a faint hope that it will be ready late April, I assume thats this year. I know my first message does not seem very positive, but inwardly I feel all will be well in the end, yes, honestly, no really I do. Regards hope to see you all there, I feel a large barbie comming on. Alan & Mandy
