Ace,
Depending on who or what you read or listen to, the whole development will take up to five years to finish although two years seems to be the most used time frame for first stage. Problem is, nobody, including Polaris can tell us what phases will be started first. As a result, peolple haven't got a clue when their property is likely to be ready. Unless someone out there knows their plans, I guess it's wait and see. I'm on Jardine 7 by the way.

If its of any help in March we were told Los Jardines would be completed late 2008 (so we have fingers crossed for early 2009) We were also told that there would be up to 8000 workers on the site working on different areas- which suggests other areas may also have a late 2008 completion aimed for. We were only looking at the Jardines so didnt get into specifics about other residential areas. Also El Faro and 9 holes of golf and I think the clubhouse would be available with the 1st releases. We also asked about the building being ongoing after the 1st releases and the rep said that it would be so far away it wouldn't trouble us and thats when we realised all 12 jardines are to be released together.
I'm aware that things change and not everything that we will have been told is exactly written in stone. However it may be that the five year window also encompasses sections of Condado that haven't been agreed yet for example around the Bears Best or behind Jardines and front line to the golf where on the design plan we saw had quite a number of roads indicated but no buildings- maybe more 4 storey Penthouses -who knows?

Seems to me they'd have to complete work within a reasonable time because of the contracts they made. I was told the third trimester of 2008, so that should be September at the latest. If they don't complete, I imagine I can take some legal action, but I don't know what the position would be.

Changing the subject slightly, I thought I would post my observations on the property still for sale. Sunseeker Homes who seem to be a high profile Golden partner for PW had a SOLD OUT sign on their site against the Jardines first phase. Godd news I thought, they seem to be selling. However, I spoke with someone who said that PW were struggling with selling their appartments due to the reluctance for people to commit due to the so called state of the market. I therefore found it a coinsidence to see that Sunseeker have removed this SOLD OUT sign which makes me think that some properties have been put back on the market. This all might be just the way that things go but has anyone got any comments or thoughts to add...............

Just to add our observations- We were told by the company we purchased through(a Golden Partner) that the "Gardens" (all 12) will be released as ONE PHASE, due to be complted near the end of 2008, the contract states once building begin they have a set time to finish with a 4 month grace or the company(PW) are subject to paying the purchaser penalties.
Iam betting release will be around Jan 2009.
Company we purchased through have loads of photos on their site showing building works on-going with cranes in place and lots of activity. Obviously copyright does not allow me to post the pics, but if anyone wants the address of the website PM me and i will pass it on.

Just heard that prices for properties on La Isla de Alhama will be rising on June 20th '07. I don't think this would be happening if the so called 'market overheat' were true.
Does anyone have any recent photo's? I'm not going out again until September and wouldn't mind seeing how work is progressing.
