Hi there

Who organises the signs, insurance etc. surely this is in progress after waiting so long to actually get a pool, or is there something to be agreed/signed by all the residents.

Thanks everyone for all the info, and fingers crossed

Hi All

Just back from Hurchillo today 1/8/07 the pool is finished the builders have some rendering to do, to the inside walls. phase 3 have now elected there President & Vice president for info it is Ricky 1st house opposite play ground and Caroline No 19 phase 3 V.P .  I attended this meeting so if any one wants to know what went on let me  know , when I get an email or letter with the minutes I will forward a copy to those asking. for info the builder only gave the administrator names and not U.K addresses so you would not have known about the meeting unless you where lucky enough to be there . However the administrator  Rumona is happy to send emails or letters to the U.K providing she is given the FULL POSTAL addresses with POST CODE I have her email addresss if anyone wants it.  It is now up to the 3 presidents & V.Ps to get together from all 3 phases with the administrator to arrange for the insurance , pool maintance, and agree on the rules governing the pool  and keys or swipe cards etc ,and also to set the commuinty charge for the pool  for all phases . The walls and everything should be finished by this weekend. The festival in Hurchillo runs for 12 days the locals are asking for 60 euro,s from all permanent residents and a donation from any one else it is due to start on the 31/8/07 or the 3/9/07 and they intend to have a 5000 euro firework display at the finish and make it bigger and better than previous years everything free of course  For info your community charge includes buildings insurance . I will download the pool picces & Oriheula fiests ASAP.

P.S  Back again on the 31/8/07 for 10 days the temperature yesterday was 37C in the shade and 49C in the Sun very Hot

Looks like the pool is well on the way to being in use.Committee had a meeting about it on friday night. It is going to be €50 per year for pool upkeep and each household will be given 1 key each for access. No alcohol is to be taken into pool area and only plastic bottles is to be used. There is to be no food eaten there and all rubbish is to be taken home as there will be no bins provided to deter unwanted insects. No clothing to be worn in pool (WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO) except t-shirts on kids if desired and all suncream to be showered OFF before entering pool as it leaves a residue. So go swimming at night if you dont want sunburn. Also no inflatables only swimming aids.HAPPY HOLIDAYS.

I would imagine that if you have a keyholder for your property they will be given a key with your permission and anyone staying in your apartment would get the key from them. The committee apparently needs a certain amount of money so they can get the keys cut so the sooner fees are paid the better, only problem is getting everyone to agree to pay as i hear some are refusing saying that legally they shouldnt have to pay community fees (dont know why as i thought that was the norm anywhere).President is looking into all the dos and donts of residents and will be issueing  a letter stating them to us.

Hi everyone,

I spoke to one of the residents committee members for phase 2 last evening, and was told that we had all had letters delivered to our apartments recently giving details of how to pay the community charge.      Apparently those without mail boxes on their property had the letters thrown over the gate.    The charges have to be paid by the end of September, so I suggest that those not going out before then get in touch with whoever is holding a key for them so that they can get the information in time to pay the charge.    It was suggested that the money be paid into the bank in Hurchillo in person to save bank charges, but obviously some of us may not be able to do that, so will have to arrange a transfer or standing order.   I think we need to get the Administrator to send letters to those of us who are not resident to our home addresses and not just drop them over the wall of the apartment where they may get lost.

Regards

Carol & Mick  (No.17 phase 2)

Hi all

Thanks for the help, I have given my visitors 50 euros to take with them, so if any one can help them whilst they are there I would appricate it, hope to meet you all one Fri eve in that very special Friday night place called D'amur

I think sending the letters back to England would be a good idea.

Who has the actual keys to the pool area

Vince

Rained very heavy last night so any letters lying at front will be ruined.seems silly leaving letters lying around apartment with no-one there, what better way to advertise empty properties to burglars.

Hi all,

Just returned from red hot Spain. The pool is causing quite a stir and the committee are desperate to get the 50€ in the coffers. Still work to be done prior to opening. Pool rules board needs to be ordered, fence needs painting, safety hand rail needs fitting. It is looking likely that we will be buying some sort of seating and umbrellas for th pool, however this again seems to be a committee decision and not everyone's wishes. Probably white seats etc (Diane).

D'Amur opens at the end of August but the Carpi bar is good as well and cheaper. I think it is not a good idea to throw the letters through the railings as said previously it leaves you wide open for problems.

Anyone needs any further info let me know.

Hi all just back from sunny Hurchillo after 3 weeks, uploaded some pic's of the pool, as for when it's going to open I would say it will be another few weeks, from what I've gathered it will open from 7am-11pm as a trial as for the furniture not sure there will be any? It looks really well now though. Also put on some pic's of the beautiful lake up the mountain.

Cheers for now
