Hi everyone. I only found this site last night (13th June), which made very interesting reading. My first site visit was back in May 2007 and was very impressed with the development, mind you the road to the development could do with an upgrade. Lets hope the link to the toll road comes off! I made a snag list off my own which I sent by e mail to Eralia once back in the UK. Only to be sent a return e mail containing the proccedure for how to go about the snagging list with the need for the builders rep to be present. This involved another trip back to the site just the other week. I am glad I did make the 2nd trip as I removed the rose tinted glasses this time and noticed a few more items than I did the first trip. Only problem I see is how to keep on top of how to get the work finished. With e mails I had received from Eralia I fully expected to be signing the deeds a few weeks ago such that I even transferred funds into my Lawyers account in readiness for completion. I was notified by my Lawyer the end of last week that they have notified the developers we are ready to complete once confirmation of all certification is shown. One thing I was surprised about and that is as the development is being sold as delux and high quality why do you have to pay extra for shelves and draws etc in the wardrobes and fitted units under the bathroom wash hand basins and even a door on the shower and a screen on the bath? As regards the door on the shower ( I have a 2 bedroom appartment) has anyone else the same problem as I have and that is the shower tray protrudes past the wall on one side. This means that it is not a straight forward job of just filling the opening with a shower door, if the door is purchased from Eralia thier answer is we will fill the gap with something, not the answer I was looking for. I finished up going to the bathroom dept in Fernando Moreno who called in a specialist to solve the problem, they will install the door and from the info I was given should be great. Talking about Fernando Moreno I have placed my furniture and fitting list with them. I found this the quickest way to go about matters as not knowing my way about or could spend a lot of time just trawling show rooms and web sites. The person I have been dealing with is Rocio Gordillo she used to work as an interior designer for Eralia but left two years ago. She is very familiar with the development has a good command of the english language and very helpful. They will be installing all the light fittings etc once I give them the word. Rocio will only be working until August when she will leave to give birth to a baby girl. By shopping around I could maybe have got a cheaper deal but at least everything is with the one company. The only extras I was advised to get from Eralia was the wardrobe interiors and the bathroom cabinets under the wash hand basins as they have there own carpenters. As a family we are hoping to go across for a holiday 9th July for two weeks providing all is complete. If not completed I will not be a popular guy, any one know of a cheap appartment to let just in case. Joking appart lets hope all will be completed soon. My appartment is Block 4 2/2. I look forward to maybe putting faces to a few of you on this web site and any further comments you may have.
