Hi all,
We got back from a week in Spain and SG last week, but didn't feel good at all. We visited the site and the sales office and our house etc and spoke to Aude and Hosea who could tell us very little. Aude is going on maternity leave soon and so is handing over to Hosea. They said the electric and water were holding things up but hopefully would be OK in the next few week. The roads were being done by a different contractor but they would not give any dates at all, just that 14, 15 and 16 would be released first.
Hosea actually suggested we all turn up with plackards to get things moving. I don't think he meant at his site office either, as he said they have no answers and are not getting any answers of Masa and people are turning up daily asking questions they can't answer.
We asked about the swimming pool which is a few block away from us on M11, it is not a communal pool, but a community pool run by the Golf Club House, where you will have to pay entrance. Since our last visit in February, there has been very little done really, we visited another site in Campoamor whilst we were there and the building and work activity was unbelievable towards Sierra Golf, in fact they have practically built a full estate since October when we bought our house.
I also asked a question about the access road which also seems very vague, again no answers the new fancy road simply ends at the dirt track in the vineyards and there are no plans for any road improvements beyond that.
From the answers we are getting we personally feel there is a deeper problem on this site either the access road, the water supply or the electricity, they say they won't release it until everyone is on their own supply as they do not want anyone to be on builders supply. If there weren't a problem this site would really be moving now to get it finished and the final payments made for the houses, but instead there are very few workmen who are not really making much progress quickly, so perhaps they are intentionally dragging this out so they don't have to put any more investment in until the problem is solved.
I wonder if those who have posted messages on this site quoting their legals and solicitors etc have actually come across any serious problems with the access to this site or the water supply etc.
Sorry to be so down after the last email, but we were very disappointed and are feeling very uneasy about the whole situation. A good builder anywhere at this stage should be able to give a date, even Grupo Masa client services would not commit themselves by quoting any dates to us.
Also when we talked to a rep from Atlas Sales, they said you can't buy a property on SG so it is still an investment. Aude told us on site there are 100 houses still for sale in phase 1, and 400 sold. Does that mean 100 people have cancelled?
