I agree.  We were told we had our choice of light fittings in the Lounge (over table) and the main bedroom.  

We were definitely told that we would have to buy the light fitting for over the dining room table & I seem to remember another light fitting as well that we would have to buy  - I think it was the one for the little hallway between the 2nd bedroom & bathroom.

We completed recently (2 bed 2 bath)

In the lounge (over the dining table and outside the second bedroom) as well as in the kitchen, there was just a wire with a bulb but it's enough to be getting on with. We subsequently fiited lights from Ikea.

The only place that had nothing was the second bathroom where there were wires coming out of the wall above the sink.

This is standard practice in Spain and other continental countries.  I think that we are lucky that Keymare have put in as many lights as they have.  We could have been faced with putting all the light fittings in. I think I remember someone in Andalus Hills offering to do that type of work.

Thanks to everyone for putting photos on the site, keeps us in touch.  We are hoping to be in Vera from 14th to 22nd Sept so will attend meeting if it happens.

There was a wire and bulb on the patio but nothing  fancy.

I've used a really good gut to put lights and other bits up so if anyone wants a number, let me know.

Just to clarify, there are lights apart from the mirror light in the second bathroom but they're literally wires with a bulb on the end. They would suffice though if you don't have the time to put proper ones up and want to get out by the pool instead!
