Hello, they are making good progress the walls are up and all the roofs are on. Are you buying an apartment or a duplex? The external walls on the ide of the developement which is just apartments have been rendered and painted it looks like there is mainly internal work remaining. The other side which contains the duplexes and apartments are not quite so advanced, but everything is going to plan and we have been assured that the completion is going to schedule. The pool has been formed but there is still plenty of work to do inbetween the blocks, ie. the communal areas.
Hope this helps, Sue

Thanks Razzler
We are buying an apartment on the duplex side - not into the hillside.
Thanks for the update - we thought completion was late 2008 but after emailing keymare we have been told that handover is expected Summer 2008 so not booking any holidays in the hope we may visit again after May 2008 - which we are going to sort out NIE numbers and look how development is going.

Hi, I have put some pictures on the forum. I have been trying to upload some more recent ones but the website won't co-operate at the moment. We are buying a duplex, so we might be neighbours. The apartment blocks into the hillside are furhter on then the others. Sue

Hi everyone who is buying on Veranda. We are also buying on this complex.....on the hillside. Recently paid a visit and the place is looking really good.
Not sure when completion date is......we were told Late 2008 as planned, but looks like may be ready before then ?
Has anyone else been given any dates ??
Would like to thank everyone who has posted photos

Hi Everybody,
We spoke to a chap from keymare when we were there in December, he said that the developement was well on target for completion and in fact would properly be ready early, in August.
We are going over again mid march so will check on progress. We are buying a duplex opposite the pool.
Regards to everyone, Ray and Sue
ps. hope the exchange rate improves before we all have to pay!!

Hi all, we are buying in Al Andalus Veranda Agua and delighted to have contact with others buying also. Our apartment is on the hillside, facing the pool. We will be heading out in May to have a look at how things are going. Any info and suggestions for our trip would be greatly appericated. Can anyone advise on local laywer for will making, tax implications etc. When buying we went with the solicitor reccommended by MRI, but for other stuff we would like to appoint our own solicitor. Thanks. Thanks to all who posted photos, great to see how things are coming along. Tricia and Anto This message was last edited by tricia52 on 2/12/2008.

Hi Tricia and Anto,
We purchased on Thalassa and were advised not to use any solicitors that are recommended by your sales agent (conflict of interest etc.,)

Thanks Lorraine and Peter, that is very useful information. I think for the sale we will continue with the solicitor we have, as we have not had any problems with her to date, and we have paid our fee to her. With hindsight we would have got our own, but at the time of purchase we didnt think too much about it. But it is for future business such as wills and tax implications etc that we would want our own. Thanks again, we will keep your recommendation in mind. Tricia and Anto

Buying a two bed two bath apartment on veranda agua, our contracts say completion is sept 2008 but Keymare recently contacted us to say it would now be june. Have also been over on courtesy visit to see our apartment, looks great found no problems at all this was April 25th.While there filled in paperwork to allow keymare to have water and electricity connected on
completion.also had the option to pay first community charge of the complex which is200 euros, can either pay on courtesy
visit or on completion, dont let them push you into paying it there and then as they will try but you can wait untill completion. The complex is nearly finished ,pools done childrens play area done, tennis courts done, individual car parking spaces done, spa
is finished just needs to be equiped inside ,the grass is starting to come up in the communal areas. Can anyone recommend
a property management company for renting, key holding, cleaning etc, preferably one someone has or is using with good reputation .
many thanks
