Hi Donna,
Have just spoken to my lawyer who informs me there is no problem with electricity, except it can take up two weeks to connect, although she has known it connected in two days.
There is a problem with mains water supplies, but until connected the developer will supply water.

The water situation is described in the Licencia de Primera Ocupacion. Apparantly there has been a major row between two companies: Acosol and Gestaqua.
Our installations are build by Acosol, but somehow Gestaqua has the rights to deliver water in that area. There is a long statement attached to our License which states that they are willing to use the infrastructure of Acosol, but that they have to change it. Arrohabitatge has to carry out these works and part of it is on or along the road near the railway station. Until they have done this we are on a temporary water supply and the promotor had to give a bank guarantee of 80.000 Euros to carry out these adjustments.
The fierce part is where it says that if our promotor contracts Acosol or any other competitor they will lose their License of primary occupation.
At the moment Gestaqua doesn't accept the metering system in place so I think that our promoter has to pay the water bill until this is settled.
Remember this is just a summary of some quite long and formal Spanish letters so if this is an issue for you let your lawyer make a translation of the whole License.

Don Juan was right: Sevillana (the electricity company) came on site yesterday and is now accepting requests from individual owners to get connected.
So tell your lawyer to apply for it. The magic number ( El numero de cometida) is 0450248. It will take normally take about a week for the electrician to show up at your place and connecting you.

I noticed some questions about the electricity situation. No, we don't have electricity like I reported in the community thread, but Sevillana is accepting applications. That was a necessary step forward.
Sevillana insists that they want physical access to the apartments. It could technically be done without it, but it's true that there would be a large risk of short circuiting and possible fires inside your apartment. In the apartments we take care of we put down all the circuit breakers as a precaution, but they can't know which one is our care (and of course the irony is that we have only the keys to these apartments).

Hi All
We are getting connected to the electricity tomorrow 3rd October. We have to meet them onsite with the key. Apparantly they are doing 7 apartments a day.
Good Luck

Hi All
They were connecting the electricity to the lifts yesterday, but apparently there is some bad news for those of you on the upper floors. We wont be able to use them, as by law, there must be a telephone connection to the lift for emergencies, and Telephonica have no phone lines running through our development.
