went to beach club on the 29/8/07 pool opened at 1.30pm due to cleaning not ideal. The beach was about 12 inch deep in dry seaweed no sand workmen still drilling and weilding the place should be closed untill finished. there was no transfer from roda to ferry 12 euros each way then 10 euros return for boat  the staff were nice and the food was good except for chunk of steak in vegeterian sandwich.

Sorry to hear that, I went a couple of times and it was fantastic. Asked about beach & seaweeds and it is down to the council. I heard last week there was very bad weather and as the Beach Club is in an open area it took a while to reclean it.

I loved the place

Shall anyone else share the experience?

Hi , patrick and i went to the beach club 3 days before craig, I must admit i was a little dissapointed in the beach itself, this was just before the storm and still a lot of seaweed making it not a plesant experience to swim in,although the pool more than made up for it. It was interesting as there were only two other couples there, I would not like to be there when there were a hundred people!!!. The staff were 1st class and nothing was a problem, they told us they were closing down at the end of september for more renovation work .

Hi visited the beach club on Saturday , the weather was superb but surprisingly we were the only people there. There was seaweed and I think an ongoing problem cos of the wind in that spot .Was told down to council as stated in previous messages how ever think that they would clear if allowed. The water was like a bath in the sea and very shallow however if u get right out on other side of rocks then able to swim.

Had a tour around showing what the proposals are for the refurb.Downstairs there will be a larger bar with a restaurant and a show kitchen(which think means open plan so we can see whats cookin) with the locker rooms ,(ladies & gents) in the same position.Towels will still be provided. There is also a disabled loo just inside by the proposed new entrance which is at the front of the building facing the road.

Upstairs will be a seating /recreation area with views of the med and the unique shape of the building utilised to provide sun also shade.

The club is not that big so if it gets busy then booking advisable.Shutting at end of the month and downside is may not open until next July but one director was told pushing for May June .

All in all think the club will be an asset as also one proposal was to have 3 water ferries at 10am midday and 2pm for going and 2 times for coming back of which not sure.
