Hi visited the beach club on Saturday , the weather was superb but surprisingly we were the only people there. There was seaweed and I think an ongoing problem cos of the wind in that spot .Was told down to council as stated in previous messages how ever think that they would clear if allowed. The water was like a bath in the sea and very shallow however if u get right out on other side of rocks then able to swim.
Had a tour around showing what the proposals are for the refurb.Downstairs there will be a larger bar with a restaurant and a show kitchen(which think means open plan so we can see whats cookin) with the locker rooms ,(ladies & gents) in the same position.Towels will still be provided. There is also a disabled loo just inside by the proposed new entrance which is at the front of the building facing the road.
Upstairs will be a seating /recreation area with views of the med and the unique shape of the building utilised to provide sun also shade.
The club is not that big so if it gets busy then booking advisable.Shutting at end of the month and downside is may not open until next July but one director was told pushing for May June .
All in all think the club will be an asset as also one proposal was to have 3 water ferries at 10am midday and 2pm for going and 2 times for coming back of which not sure.
