When we were out, it was rumoured that there was going to be a Christmas tree in the central area. Has this happened?

Hi To You All

I am getting very excited. Colin and I will be coming out for the month of January. Last time we stayed in our appartment the builders were still on the triangle opposite us. I must admit they did seem to be clearing the area but very slowly. From reading the messages on the forum it sounds as though they have done quite a lot. If a Christmas tree does appear I hope it will still be there when we arrive. Do any of you know if the village will be having a festival for the Three Kings or will we need to go further a field?

Hi Gill, Sue and Karen, yes there seems to be a xmas tree in the corner of the green area but no decorations yet. The green area is moving quickly now, a little park, climbing frame has gone in, its very colourful and pretty so lets hope it stays that way!!!! The paths are being block paved which is starting to look really nice. For those with the view of this area i think you will be really pleased!!!

Extremely shameful about the Miceal Thomas. Im going to get going with those cds despues navidad.

We were only allowed to go half way up the mountain, its got a rough footpath but the reason we were there was because we were helping to clean it. The papers took loads of photos of the kids and as you can imagine Trin posed in everyone!!!

I have heard the village isnt having their festival this year but dont take that as gospel .... just what i heard!!!!!!

We went to Ocean Grafic in Valencia on Sunday... well worth the drive, absolutley fantastic. Ive never known the kids to be quiet for so long.... nothing like a shark a few inches away from you to hypnotise you!!!!! We also went to Elche to see the famous palm trees in particular the imperial palm tree.

Thanks for all the information. I think you will have to write a book on where to go and what to see as it all sounds wonderful. Keep the newspaper cuttings, you posy diva, so we can have a look (bit of luck, might even be able to read it). See you in January.

They have started planting trees in the middle area and the xmas tree is now decorated and looks great at night time!! Gill, Colin i think you will be pleased when you come back in Jan, altho its not finished just yet and im guessing the workers will take a break for xmas!!!

Well done. Regional Finals, we are so proud of you.  We will have to arrange it so we are in Spain when you compete again . Well done and good luck for February. We will see you before then so we can wish you loads of luck, not that you will need it as I am sure you swim like a fish.

Having spent the last three weeks on site, with blue sky every day, we are pleased that we have purchased at Hacienda San Cayetano.

We completed on Monday 7 January, snagging list was done on the Wednesday (everything but one item now attended to) Thursday beds & chairs arrived from UK. So we set about ordering all the other beds, sofa's etc from either Changing Rooms or Garcia's with everything now delivered except Headboard. Lighting, shower screens etc was mainly purchased from Brico House  and yes we have also had a day at IKEA. (Food is good and cheap but shopping concept is XXXXXX)

But the main success is the neighbours. A very friendly, happy and willing to help in anyway possable, bunch. Long may this continue and those who have not completed or been on site, you are missing being part of the family.

We will be on site for about another 5 weeks and look forward to meeting more 'friends' and enjoying the sunshine that will gradually get longer and warmer we hope.

We now have 2 arm chairs, that if there is anyone out there that can make use of them  while they sought out their own furniture, they are very welcome to them. They helped us out of the problem while we waited for the Sofa to me made.

.There is always a drink available for old and new friends so come on down say hello and have a drink with us.
