We viewed on 9th November and were of the opinion nothing much had been done for a few weeks. Finishing off seems all rather slow and I cannot see that completion will be before end of January at least.
There was still much to do in the grounds, i.e., hard landscaping and planting, the boundary fences are not in place and the pavements around the development had not been started, although drainage channels at the kerbs were in place. The gates were all more or less in place but none of the intercom wiring to each apartment had been started.
Despite having an appointment we did not manage to view our apartment because apparently it was being painted. Instead we were shown the apartment next door to ours where there were quite a few jobs still to do. Architrave around the serving hatch was missing as were parts of the marble skirting. Also I noticed the water heater in the utility rooms do not appear to have been fitted yet. Possibly because they are copper and the lock on the utility room is not so secure as the one on the apartment.
'mijasgolf' on this site, otherwise Bev and Dave and who we met whilst viewing, has suggested that it might be worth considering putting an iron or retractble gate across the entrance to each apartment as an added security measure for those who will be using as holiday accommodation. I must say I tend to agree with her.
Lourdes (optimistically in my view) insisted completion was not far off , it being January at the latest. I hope she is right. Although she did say that she had been doing the 'snagging' in some blocks.
I took some photo's intending to post them on EOS. They mainly showed the unfinished works. However when we got back home and I viewed the 'smd' site I was pleasantly surprised to find that in the pictures for the 2nd week November they had made much visible progress with the pathways and there seemed to be extra workmen on site. So I will not post the photo's.
Finally, I have just found a new website which is selling distressed property on La Condesa. I have never seen it before and I think it could be the last of the unsold properties. Here's the link:-
