I don't know how the Spanish Police work but in the UK this sort of behaviour / criminal damage would be a police matter. I think that everyone should keep a record of times and dates of incidents and report it to the Policia Municipal. I am sure that they would be able to take action against the offending families.

By law, all urban properties in Spain have to be part of a neighbourhood community of owners for the administration of common areas. The direction of the community is by elected owners, with the day-to-day administration normally being by a contracted private firm. I believe that the developer generally runs the administration of the community for the first year until the formal one is put in place.

Under this senario then Taray should be responsible for applying the rules of the community which would include aspects relating to behaviour. I would suggest that someone on-site enquires with Taray on this matter as the solution to the problem may already be there within the rules of the community.

Good idea! I dont know if calling Taray will help change much but I shall be calling 9am tomorrow fo sure! 

I do feel so much happier now that the community is pulling together and I am feeling a little more optimistic.  Knowledge is power and by pulling together we can stamp out the lout!

Hi Everyone

The thread is titled ‘cause for concern’ and at the moment that is just what it is and not ‘cause to panic!’  There is the general concern among owners that San Cayetano has a loutish element and although small, could develop into something much bigger.

Is this stone throwing and door bell ringing a constant nuisance by the same children or was it an isolated incident that people witnessed over the same period?  The last thing that wants to happen is for it to get blown up out of all proportion but at the same time, it doesn’t want ignoring.  Who approached the parents and what exactly was the response?  The full facts are needed before any sort of action is taken by anybody, Taray included. 

It is with this in mind that we intend to start another thread to initiate the formation of a committee to take the lead now.  This will work along side any responsibility Taray has in respect of administering the community and possibly form the basis of future formal arrangements and hopefully rectify this situation. 

Individuals need support and the community needs a voice.
