It seems, by the dates, they have been storing them up!!
As Tom reported they are busy with roads,irrigation and landscaping: and, I may be wrong but, there seems to have been a large delivery of materials, possibly for road building.
These photos' from smd although extremely welcome have started to become a bit of a bore. Completion dates continue to slip and I don't know about the rest of you who bought as a retirement or holiday home I'm begginning to wonder if I will live long enough to use it!!

Yes, the site is full of road and path building material - but not that much activity going on to get it sorted though if they put a full team to it they may not take so long as the basic structures are there. I think the bulk of the work will be on snagging/finishing touches. There really is quite a lot still to do when you look at the number of apartments - whenever we see photos or go on site the team seems to comprise 10 or so guys, its going to take them some time to get it all sorted.
However, I hope most of us will live to see them handed over :-)

Look!!!!
My smoking baby looks glum too, even though it is nearly Christmas.
He's fed up of waiting like me.
Ten work men on site is hardly getting the jobs done. I remember one of the purchasers, with whom I was in contact, visited the site early on this year when smd took over the project. She met Snr Cortes (the chap in the suit in Decembers smd photo's, and owner (?) of smd). She asked how, with all the work that was needed, he could ensure a June 2007 completion (the date he first announced). His reply suggested that he was prepared to flood the site with workmen to finish the job, It now begs the question,
"Well seeing as his estimated completion is now 6 months overdue, where are they?"

At least they 're not supposed to be stopping work for two weeks Christmas holiday. According to Lourdes they will carry on working except for Christmas and New Year's Days!

This is direct from the www.smd-spain.com website.....indicating September as the estimated completion date!!! Anyone had any other promisess?

Condesa
On 9th November when we visited the site Lourdes dismissed my comments that there was still much to do and that completion was possibly another three months away.
She replied,
"No,No, before Christmas they (smd) must finish. Yes this is true"
I suppose she thought that was what I wanted to hear and so I would go away happy.

Yes, September was the date given in Snr Cortes statement once the smd website was up and running. Previously June had been the date. So June , September and December have all been quoted and we all know that it is definitely not going to be December.

Have visited the site today,cold and wet,no sign of security guy so had a walk around and on closer inspection there appears to be many items to be completed, The tv arials are in place,not dishes as promised.spiral stairs to top terraces being constructed and all curbs are in place.Last week security assured us the roads would be tarmaced by the 25th. Must add he did not say which month.!!! Railings need painting plus much touching up on the rendering to be done.Little has been done on the gardens or security fencing so feel very unhappy with the slow progress as holidays are looming,dont forget three kings!!! All comes to a halt for several days. Will return on Wed to UK and rethink our situation and contact our lawyers again we have a situation where we are unable to trust in what we are told. The best we can guess is that it could be ready by May. But then again we could be wrong.
