New Iceland store

Hope you all had a good Christmas. Time now for the real fun to begin and time to start really planning for us all I think and to start shaking off those post Christmas blues.  Alan and I have booked another trip out for beginning of March for a few days (was originally planned for purpose of signing up for apartment but that's obviously not now going to happen).  Anyway, the reason for this thread is to see if any of you out there have stopped over at any local hotel in or near Cox which you can recommend.  I'm tempted to book the Cox Hostel which is in the town but when we called there in at beginning of this month there was only a telephone number (which I have taken note of) but no way to get in to have a browse around.  That said though, it looked o.k. from outside.  Any recommendations or leads would be appreciated.  Happy New Year to all our new neighbours - looking forward to meeting up with everyone in the next few months.

I cannot recommend any hotels within the Cox region but when we went in November, we hired an apartment for a week which only cost us £100. We thought this was a cheaper option to a hotel and as no doubt you have already experienced its not dear to dine out. We booked the apartment from the 'owners direct' website.....just thought it might be an option for you. We would certainly do it that way again.

Regarding your comments regarding not signing, is there another delay that l haven't heard about?

I don't know if this is of any help..but Danny & I were out to Mirador the end of November...and purchased Apt. No 50.   Our completion date has been given as April 30th.  As this is already an extension ....it appears they expect this date to be accurate.

Linda, Lynne and I are going over for a look around and to do some furniture shopping last week in Feb and only paid £60 for the 5 days in a two bed apartment in Algorfa. Does anyone know of a reliable storage company who can hold our furniture until contracts are exchanged? Great to hear from someone again on here.. we are planning to go over Feb 16..for a week. Danny & I purchased No 50 in late Nov. We can't wait. It was so fantastic to see it all for real..after all of you so kindly gave me such a lot of helpful info....and such brilliant photos. We look forward to seeing the progress over the past 2 months.  We too are looking at furniture options. Cox is going to be our permanent home. We Just don't know where we are going to put everything. LOl... I am searching for apts to rent..that is a brilliant price you have found. Thanks for advice re accommodation, but have decided to book an apartment from someone local who is willing to let her apartment (in Torrevieja) to us for £100 for the week in March.  I don't think we'll be too much out of pocket on that one, and she will be a bit better off than leaving it empty for a week in March.

Is anyone due back soon?  Looking forward to some new pics - fed up of my pics being the last ones.  I'm suffering from post Christmas blues and need cheering up.  With that thought - it's 65 - 68 degs out there at the moment - bliss! - Roll on - getting impatient now!
