Hello to you all, on visiting the site I was told that because the big swimming pool is over a certain size a life guard would have to be present, they have also started the first polish of the floors, the cable and trunking is being installed for the lights round the pool area, there has been a bit of a delay because we have had a lot of rain, but the weather is getting warmer now, my husband now has finished making the recor for the window, will be going to the site again in a few weeks.

With reference to sandra2's statement regarding the need for a lifeguard at the swimming pool.

Originally I understood the pool was to be one large pool of two adjoining ,but open, circles with a bridge spanning the area where the two met. Then, because of new laws which required a lifeguard to be present at pools over a certain surface area, the plans were changed and the pools  separated in order to eradicate the need for a lifeguard. Which all now seems ridiculous as there is still the same surface area of water in one location.

a)Does anyone else have the same understanding of the swimming pools size and the reasons to divide it into two pools?

b) Does anyone know the maximum size (m2s) before a lifeguard is compulsory.

Also in a private message to me the following point cropped up. Have any purchasers been told (by Stephanie who worked for Majestic when they were the developers) they would receive a furniture pack?

And if so, is anyone still expecting to receive it?

In addition to the National rules the local town hall can make decisions on local basis that are more strict, but the national rules are for pools with surface area from 200 to 500 sqM are for one lifeguard at all open times, from 500 to 1000 sqM its 2 guards, and above that 1 extra guard for every 500sqm or part there of.

There are additioanl rules where its multiple pools (as in our case) but I need to read those later.
