We have just returned from Jumilla, yesterday, and have had a meeting with Pilar. All seems to be ok,and we came away feeling a lot happier knowing exactly what the delay has been, and what we are to expect in the next 12 months. We think that componsation packeages are going to vary ,depending on what you have bought,so its going to be very individual. If anybody wants anything answering drop me a line, and I will try to explain to you.We now feel quietly confident that we will see lots happening in the next 4-6 weeks

THanks for the update, Kraipet. What did Pilar say is the plan for the next 12 months? Was anything particular or anything new said to make you feel confident?

Yes, many thanks for the update. Let's hope that the next 12 months will see lots of houses being completed and lots of people (including us) moving to Santa Ana!

HI All
Got home early hours of thursday and just about catching up now, went to SADM on Sunday and they have changed their opening hours so we entered the site by the back door so to speak
There does seem much progress since my last visit lots more dug out I am very optomistic that things will start soon
The enclosure has building materials and there are 10 cranes after a 2 year wait I still know it is the place of our dreams
Can't wait for April we have decided to take the plunge and move out. Darren,Michelle and Rachel get the curry on for Friday 4th April ,
oh can you also let us have directions to your place to eat the curry
Keep positive everyone your dreams will be realised
GAL

Hi GAL
Thanks for the positive update. When we hear that they are actually building, we are going to open the bottle of champagne that we have kept from my birthday celebrations! (Don't worry, all the other bottles of wine, champagne and cava were drunk months ago!)
I know, every time we go back we realise that we have found the right place and that, even though we have had to wait longer than expected, it will be worth the wait!
We are also planning to move to Spain as soon as possible and rent somewhere until our house is ready.
Anybody else due to visit SADM within the next couple of months?
Isn't today the day that the town council is supposed to be handing over the paperwork so that San Jose can start lifting the structures? Fingers crossed everybody and send positive thoughts to Jumilla!
Sue

Hi,
we are traveling to SADM at end of March when we hope to see some upbuilding. We will post any info. that we find.
Interestingly this morning I watched a GMTV broadcast that featured a town called Albox which is towards Almeria region.A large demonstration of over one thousand people ( Spanish and British ) were protesting after been informed that their properties were built without proper permissions and all properties are to be pulled down, despite those councils having granted building permissions some time ago.
Although the broadcast did not give specifics of where the problem arose from, it suggested that the Spanish Government had accused a number of regional town councils of not following what is required in allowing permissions to build and are now forcing regional councils to remove all properties deemed illegal. A political fight between National and Regional Goverment and residents appear hopelessly caught up.
Maybe someone knows more facts than was broadcast but I wonder if SADM delays are to do with Jumilla Town Hall taking all necessary steps to comply with regulations or otherwise ?.

hi we are in the process of purchasing the amapola and would like to know if anyone knows of any packages that san jose are offering. Delays are quite long, is there any compensations being made for the delays. Has anyone been offered anything from SJ?
