I am considering buying a 2 bedroom apartment off plan on one of the Polaris developments. As I am new to this I have a few queries on purchasing in Spain. I am going to go on an inspection trip but I would like to hear from people who have bought themselves to get the real picture.

What resort would you recommend?

What are the ongoing costs (taxes, rates, water/electric bills, maintenance fees etc) in owning an apartment?

What is the rental potential like?

Is there anything I should look out for?

Would a fully furnished re-sale property be a better bet or is the savings on off-plan better?

It would be well worth your while staying on the resort without sales pressure. A good wander around lets you see the position of facilities and the orientation of the sun etc.

I visited before buying and it was well worth it.  I am sure that many properties will go for far less than the asking price.
