Can anyone give me directions from SG to Ikeas in Murcis

Hi Steve & Rosa

Take the C3319 towards Mucia, then join the A30 towards Murcia and then basically stay on that road, it joins with the E15 (I think its the E15), but you just stay on that road until junction 763A and Ikea can be seen from the road and follwed in from there. There is a nice shopping centre on the same complex, which is worth a look.

We completed in October without the certificate. Each to their own and I know everyone on this site has their opinion on the topic, but we figured that if the bank were prepared to lend us the money for the second half of the property, then it must be ok. We have no plans to sell for a long time, so if we wait 2 years for the cert, I won't lose sleep over it. We are currently having a pool installed, which has a licence granted by Murcia Council, so again that tells me it will be fine. However I also understand the reasons people have for not completing without it.

I am going over on the 13th March for a few days to see how the completion of our pool is getting on and then we won't be over till the summer, as Mandy gives birth at the end of April. The site is great and everyone we have met have been really nice and helpful, so I'm sure you will both love your villa when you do get it.

Like you I also completed without the HC in dec 2007 and like you I also had a morgage for the 3rd quarter. The bank and my lawyer where happy with the situation, I'm sure it will come in time but hey who cares!! I shall enjoy my villa for years too come and will be moving out to spain when I retire. SG is looking great and everybody I have met are really nice people who give advice when needed and use their trade skills where possible.

My advice is "go ahead and buy it" you know it makes sense!

Like Fromie and BarryJ, we are going ahead now and completing without the Habitation Certificate, hopefully by the end of March.  We visited site last week and it really is starting to look good, and  everyone seems very friendly and helpful. 

We have been waiting 4 years for this, so don't really want to lose another 4 years waiting for the certificate to be issued.   Hopefully a few more people will be completing during the summer - we were told by someone on site (not MASA) that quite a few people were signing on 1st April (not a good date!!).

You may have heard the groan from Den, he hates shopping.

We saw the posterboard in January and was wondering if it was actually in existence or in planning stage.

We will be heading there for lots of bits and bobs to smarten the house when we come for a proper first holiday in April.
