Hi Everyone
We've just returned from a lovely week in DV. We arrived in a terrible storm on 22nd Feb and drove up the hill on the road to Duquesa Fairways. The next day, we discovered that the rain had washed large rocks down from the hill and part of the road was covered in thick mud. There is even a lamp post under the pile of rocks. It is a bit of a worry as part of that hill is being developed and it's obviously not very stable. We also took photos of one of the drains in the road which were already filled up with mud and debri so no water could go down them. Most of the roads had water coming up from the drain covers like small fountains. This was one of the better roads and had just been repainted with road markings. We could end up paying for these repairs over and over again. As it was a weekend, nothing was done. By Monday they had put barriers in front of the rockfall but the road was still open and large cracks were in the hill which looked like more rocks were likely to fall. I'm going to upload some photos so you can see what you missed.
