Can anyone tell me the condition of the road, is there any progress, and also can you still get to Coto Real by going throu Sabinillis.

Road still closed bottom & top when we were out Jan

What you do is cut off right, go past Supermercado ?, and then up right hand side of Arenal development - then hard left which takes you to the "old" road - take right and you are on the approach road to Coto Real.

Watch the road though (or the lack of it) - the last bit is pretty non existant

We just got back (11th April) and took a ride up to Coto Real.  We took the same route described below and couldn't find any other open route.

We have just got back, the road doesn't seem to have moved on at all since November, we had to take a detour and go up past Mecadonna and go in that way, it meant we have found some nice places in Sabinillis by doing this, but it will be much better when the road is done, but can't see it getting done in the next couple of years.

Just got our keys and are in our apartment now so let's know when your next out.

Hi Maureen - we are definately all out 3rd to 12th July and I may come over with my mum in May or June too I think.  Would be good to catch up.  Hope you enjoy your new place.  Coto Real is lovely and will be very well situated once the roads are fully open.

 

We will see you as we come over on 11th July for a week, so will just catch you.

Dennis said I could come over on my own before July, but just the thought of going out on my own puts the fear of god up me, even if I came out with a friend we would be stuck as I'm not confident enough to drive yet, and the taxi from the airport is such a ridiculous price.  so will make sure we see you Friday night, maybe down the port.

Returned from Duquesa last Wednesday, there were 4/5 people working on the road with 2 machines, also pipes had been laid
to carry services right up to where the road is closed off, and it looks to me, that they are about ready to infill the road with
hardcore up to the required level, so hopefully things are hotting up..

Yes we have been in the community group with Will from the beginning, I perhaps do not join in most of the
emails sent, but observe them all, we are very happy with our appartment in Samos, and try to get over once a month,
look forward to meeting the owners we have not already met in the not to distant future.

Hi all.. hope everyone is in good spirit.. just returned from laduquesa today had a good time. just to update on rest of the residents in coto real.. the sorroundings look good but seem very quite hardly many peoples there in khios and samos and the pool was deserted last week im sure it will get bit more lively around july time.. most of the developement is complete but got told that there waiting for the habitacion licence for phase 2. also noticed yesterdat there doing some kind of  work just aftre the entrance seemed like a barrier to me but not sure..the road is still in a mess and i did not see much activity on there will defo be good 2 years i think when that is complete..i had a walk round to the top lookslike there is gona be more work starting right on top opposite samos complex not sure what thats going to be one of the residents said it might be a mini apart hotel. also while i was there got some news that the wealth tax in spain might be abolished.. if anyone else has any info on this please share it wiht us. thanks.
