Hopefully we will not be requiring any form of first aid however, does anyone know where the nearest English speaking Doctors or Health Centre is ?  I'm sure this information would also be of benefit to many other owners.

Also without wishing to appear thick, I had difficulty using the Dish Washer on the one occasion that I chose to use it, does anyone have instructions in ENGLISH ? these would be gratefully received.

• European citizens in distress situations should be able to call the phone number 112 and get through to the emergency services. Thus, anyone has to remember only one number to guarante a quicker and more efficient intervention.

Emergency  number 112 will connect  you to a person who can speak your language,therefore do not hesitate to use that number if you have reason to believe that you need urgent medical assistance.

We have our UK mobile and our Spanish mobile with us while we  are in our apartment and 112 would be our first choice ,no hesitation in an emergency situation.( the Spanish mobile is kept in our safe for friends and family to use and top up,if they please).

A first aid book.and first aid kit

Keep your exact address written down with nearest landmarks,because in an emergency your mind goes blank and you can read it to the operator.

Oh bye the way. Useful bit of knowledge. Did you know that by Spanish Law you have to have two pairs of glasses on you if you need them for driving. I found that one out when my glasses broke on the last day of my holidays one year. Lorraine had to drive!

 

Also you must carry your driving licence and passport with you when driving!

Had reason to direct our friends staying in our house for emergency treatment for their young son. The Emergencia in Cuevas de almanzora were brilliant. Stitched, x-rayed and sorted in 1 hour!!! The Emergencia is in the centre of the town, not got an actual address but will post directions when they return.

I was at the ill-fated meeting, walked out as it was a complete waste of time-I may add caused by the spanish residents, the Brits showed great patience and humour. What was the final outcome and who do we as owners address any concerns to?
