Anyone got any news on what is happening with San Jose? I
I hope it is just hear-say and completely untrue, but someone has posted on another forum "has enyone heard that San Jose has gone bust", and someone who lives in Spain has read something similar in one of the papers.
As I say, I'm sure it must be a very bad case of "Chinese Whispers", and no cause for concern - but any accurate information would be appreciated.

Has everyone I looked at the general spain site entitled San Jose declares bankruptcy . I did not know there were other threads discussing the wider San Jose picture . I am passing this on for the over 40s like me who were perhaps only checking El Pinet . There is lots more info on the general forum. Cheers lets get strong and stick together Viva El Pinet !!!!!!

since work recommenced at El Pinet, the first part has now been completed
The second stage (roads) is due to start within 1 week approx
Workmen have been seen measuring the site around apartments
This is all positive news for those wishing to complete at Pinet, here's hoping anyway!
I will be out there God willing in a weeks time and i will report any activity/news when i get back

Hi FAR,
That is good news, interesting they are starting by the flats though. I suppose they have to start some where. If you can post some pic's I/we would be pleased to see then.
The sooner we get the habition certificates the better. I'm not sure I want to pay any more to SJ as I have have payed the same as others and I'm not out there.

It seems since the first part of the work has finished, they are now negotiating the price for the roads etc and that work is supposed to resume in a week or so. I will be out there Monday so lets hope the workmen are back next week. Much as we would all like to see progress quickly, i fear it will be a long drawn out process! Lets hope it is not one property a year! (take no notice, i am just in a negative mood tonight) I am just home from watching Slum Dog Millionaire, it was quite depressing seeing all that poverty and knowing that there are people in the world really living in those terrible conditions (there but for the grace of God)

I get the impression that we are going to have to pay some more money to SJ!! I know there are still supplies (electric & water) but I think they should fit meters. I like other who are not living out there, have payed to date, for something we are not getting!!
If there is no one working from SJ no payment!!
I have not forgotten the bag of Euro's that I handed over to SJ, tax free!!
As for Slum Dog I agree it was a film that made you think, I have been to see it. Its just over 40 years that Spain was a third world country with malaria.
I glad that I live in a house with mains water, gas and electric (250v).

All credit to the Rep of C.P Residential El Pinet with SJ and the people going round fixing things.
Don't take my comments the wrong way. I like others are fed up with the lack of interest SJ has in finishing El Pinet, despite it being a "Flag ship site".
The part of the site we are in, has no lighting at night, we have been here 4 years.The water gets turned off and the voltage most of the time is 180 volts. Its no wounder things are burning out.

This is cause for consern (see below), has anyone got information to say one way or another?
Can we not take the work on ourselves (with contractors) to complete the roads and lighting? SJ are not carring out repairs any more so?
Where do we stand legally or SJ for that matter?
What have SJ done with the money they were allocated to complete the site?

Blog 8th April "To inform that this morning the Inspectors from the Tawn Hall have been checking the site to see if San José Inversiones can proceed to continue with the building. We hope we know from them next week".
Has anyone got an update on this or any other info?

I have just been told by a friend who owns a property at Pinet to expect some very good news on the Pinet blog next week. Just when I thought things could not get much worse, this is very unexpected!

We have all heard this type of news before and got excited over it and then things have come to nothing so let us keep everything in perspective, however I do not want to dampen anyones positive feelings and hope that everything materialises as discussed this month because we all want to be able to be living in the place that looked something like the pictures that we saw when we visited. We all love the area so much.

Can anyone make sense of this communication from the meeting that was held. Posted on the blog, Monday 22 June 2009. If we get the english version on the 23rd will it be just as detailed?
I gather in short they want "their" money. They have fallen out with the roads and lighting company JOST. I understand that they only had a time to get the lighting done as it doesn't comply with the new regulations.
Can we take 2 weeks to read as next year?
Does anyone know if the administrator has been appointed from the village yet?
