I am a buyer at Trampolin Hills, I live in Spain and i attended the meeting at the town hall last night. Before i start to tell you all exactly what went on i would like to point out a couple of words that Mazinger used (Celebration & Equal). Both are not true, was he actually at the meeting.
The meeting was held at 8pm last night with all parties attending as ordered by the Judge. The results were 5 in favour of Trampolin Hills and 4 against, with the Major refusing to vote, then stating it will be another 15 days until the decision will be made. I have just been informed this morning that it has been ordered that the project must be approved within the next week or two. I am not sure who has made this order but i will probably be able to find out more on Monday. I will keep you all posted. Why is the major stalling on his vote, it seems to me that he is afraid of voting for some reason and it looks like he is protecting his own interests.
Before any rumours start about the shocking behaviour of a small handful of Spanish women i will give you my thoughts as a front line spectator. When the meeting had finished everyone come out and the camera crews were there with some of the parties giving a statement. A small handful of women started to shout abuse and cause a scene. I feel this was totally unacceptable as some people had bought their children along. At first i thought they may be local people that are opposing the go ahead of Trampolin Hills. So i stood back and watched. One minute they were angry opposing the project of Trampolin Hills and then i noticed they would be laughing amongst themselves. Does this sound like local people in protest. If the locals in the town were against the project they would have all came out in force. There are 2000 residents in the town of Campos del Rio with just a dozen or so Spanish women shouting the odds. In my opinion they were family and friends of the opposing party. I then went through the town of Campos del Rio and saw that all the locals of the town were doing exactly the same as any other town on a friday evening. Children playing in the park and people sitting outside the bars enjoying their tapas and talking to one another. Like i said this does not sound like a town who are against the project.

Morning all
Well where I come from 5 for and 4 against with 1 abstaining means those for the project win, or am I being stupid again... but then again this is Spain, and nothing can be that straight forward.
regards
Brian

Just thought I would post the text to the news report: (laverdad.es) not very good translation but you can get the gist basically
5 votes against Trampolin HIlls and 4 for trampolin hills, Mayor abstained and psoe councillor did not vote.
The House that would unlock Trampolín Hills to just five minutes
The PP refused to be declared extraordinary and there was no discussion About 200 owners and workers marched signature before the Consistory
It could be the House to unblock the situation of Trampolín Hills and its 2,575 homes with golf course, stayed in a plenary Express, which barely exceeded five minutes. The call, which had two points in the day, did not exceed the first-approval that had reason for the uniqueness of the House-to vote against them five councilors of the PP. Being absent the socialist mayor Miguel Navarro and Carlos councilman Bartholomew, the outcome of the vote was 5 to 4. End of issue.
Meanwhile, half an hour before and since held the House, some 200 people-among owners, workers and neighbors of the Group Trampolín-expected before the small headquarters Consistorial demanding a solution to unlock the project, and that today, with the PP strongly settled in the opposition, only passes through the resignation of the mayor and councilman Bartholomew. This decision would return the absolute majority needed to move forward with the PSO for approval of amendments to the draft, the only remaining formality in local government. Once adopted, the autonomous community should endorse these amendments, and the machines start working. The leaders of the Group Trampolín argue that the end of the year could have already handed over the keys of the first homes.
"This is a circus'
The spokesman for the PP, Miguel Buendía, reported yesterday that the departure of the plenary was "insulting" and that only the presence of the Local Police lowered somewhat 'tension of the situation. " Buendía asserts that the convening of the House 'is nothing but a circus orchestrated to uncovering the PP, and convey the feeling that is the PSO which wants to take this forward, but the obstacle is us. " This wording again yesterday to try to obtain the opinion of the mayor or any of its councillors, without success.
Whether it was speaking Trampolín Group President, Antonio Gonzalez, who returned to defend the project - "technically flawless", and defined-loaded against the mayor. "It is unbelievable that has been pocketed 200,000 euros in commissions from sales of houses and take back now and say that he knows nothing. It could be that there are ideological reasons behind, but people want the project '.
The manager of the commercial supported his assertion trying to deliver on the failed House of 700 signatures were collected last weekend between barely 2,100 residents of River Fields' in just three hours'.
A thousand of the more than 2,500 buyers are EU citizens-mainly British and Scandinavian-those who remoteness not an obstacle to begin now to take legal action, as confirmed by the president of the commercial, aimed at recover sums paid to account quantities they will add interest on late payments and probably damages for breach of contract. Many buyers are also opting for national judicial review, considering that Trampolín is in breach of contract by failing to deliver on schedule the houses.

I have been told that if the major refuses to vote then we win. If he votes against us then the vote is equal. Not sure where it goes from there. However i can not see how the major can vote against us as the Judge has made it clear that the town hall will be responsible for compensations if the project does not go ahead. Campos del Rio is a very small town and in my view they could not cope with this kind of court case against them.
Like i said i live over here so i will try my best to find out as much as i can and keep you all posted.

Bit confused here. Grey Hair is saying 5 votes for, 4 votes against and the mayor not voting. Jackie in Hove is saying 5 votes against, 4 votes for and the mayor not voting. Can someone just confirm what the actual vote was. Does anyone know if it is different in spain that when someone abstains it's counted as a non-vote and stands - so we win!

Oooops, sorry Grey Hair. Pressed the send button before re-reading your previous post. Thanks for attending and letting us all know. Much appreciated. Just one more thing though, if you are saying that the Mayor does not have to vote then surely the voting is over and we win 5-4. Why would it need to carry on.
