It would appear that Al Andalus Hills are to also hold an extraordinary general meeting at a local hotel sometime at the end of May.

This development are attempting to remove their administrative company (name escapes me, something about where you keep boats in the spanish sun!)

I would be interested in knowing if they have already lined up a new company, and if so, how can you check their credentials? What is the agreeable time factor involved before the new company take over the reins, and what percentage of the vote is needed in order to remove the old company?

Apparently, the sunny boat company have furnished the Vice President with the spanish owners e-mail addresses. One can only presume this was in an attempt to ensure that the voting procedure is followed correctly and that there will be a representative number of owners at the forthcoming meeting.

Both the VP and the President appear to be experiencing communication issues (one not listening to the other, and vice-versa) so both are calling for each others resignations, both, it would seem, have support mustered from their particular "camps". This is a situation which could occur on any development which has multi-national representation.

We should watch this situation carefully, and hopefully, learn from the outcome.

I think you are absolutely right & that is why you will see in the update that I have sent out today, the President of Thalassa is asking for no EGM to be called until she has the opportunity of fully investigating the alternatives.

After all, it could be out of the frying pan, into the fire if we dismiss our lot & appoint a new administrator without getting all the facts first.

I realise there is a lot of frustration on Thalassa at the moment, but obviously this forum only seems to cater for the minority of owners. I see the talk about calling for an EGM, but what percentage of owners do you need and what sort of percentage of owners is there on this forum? I have heard how vocal the owners are here, but if the majority of owners aren't registered/ are of a different nationality/ are happy with things the way they are, what hope is there? I can tell you that at the most recent AGM at AA Resort, less than 25% of owners attended, about 30  owners in fact. Thalassa is a huge site in comparison and I think you may have a problem.

I don't want to put a dampener on your ideas, just think the possibility that others don't feel Seasun are as much of a problem. Karen on the main forum is setting up a community website for her urb, maybe Thalassa needs something similar to bring all owners together?

      The Presidente has access to our group known as the Rampton100 and well over a hundred owners and one of our VPs is setting up a website for the urbanisation. The complex is very pro-active and we are very well led. Noreen had a very large proxy nomination at the last meeting,via the R100.

Just to support what Ken has already posted.

At the last Thalassa community meeting 151 owners were either present or represented (250 if you include Key Mare). At that time the "Rampton 100" had not actually become the 100 but had about 95 members.

Of those 95 members, 38 attended in person & I held 55 proxy votes, so only a couple "fell through the cracks"

As Ken said, we are an active group of people who use other means than just this forum to air our views. We are now the "Rampton 111" which doesn't quite have the same ring to it but it does equate to approximately 20% of the development.

The President has asked that an EGM is not called as she is exploring other possiblities & wants to have all the facts before any possible action is taken. It remains to be seen whether the proposal is actually made & whether it is then supported.

I don't think the Presidenta ever commented on usage of the other site. In fact, I believe that she did actually make apost on there herself.

I guess it could be said that the community in itself has commented on the other site, in the fact that only 36 chose to join it.

I am curious about why this community site is up and running and until now I know nothing about what Lorryload  has posted.

 Whilst on the topic  watch and learn i have noticed that some postng have been removed and some members have been removed from what is a good and informative web site , however i have noticed that  a newbee has steped into their shoes in having a go at the same member, the member all of you support if not its the few  who dont , the problen is when they do post support, and i woluld bet there asked to post not so nice comments  they are tared with the same brush As with all things some will learn and some will not ,hopefully for the forum some  of the few will be the ones who read the topic watch and learn and put it into practice

Apparently Lorryload would appear to be linked to LeeLee, Leeandnicola etc etc.....

It is quite tedious when the same person keeps doing this but they do give themselves away quite quickly by using the same tone as they do under their other names & the other reason they give themselves away is that they cannot resist having a dig at me.

I really don't know why they feel the need to keep having a dig at me but that is also getting quite tedious. However, that is only one person, where everyone else takes a more positive approach to the work that I do for Thalassa owners.

You mentioned in your post that people are supportive & I believe you were referring to me as being in receipt of that support - I can only say that I am very grateful for the 50 or so emails I have received this week, as well as postings on EOS that have been supportive of my efforts, contribution & nomination for the now vacant VP role.

Given my nomination for the VP role (& taking nothing for granted) perhaps we could have a chat about the experiences that AA Hills has had in respect of their administrators & potential replacements.

I cannot understand why there are so many problems with message noreen has done and is doing a great job and then suddenly all these new people  whilst we have been going through problems i never see their user names before

i am and very pleased with what people are doing out of their own time and the person who is setting up so many user names and writing and being childish would wonder why they have so much time to put people down

As many have said before this is one of the better web sites around but its turning into a nightmare for justin to run
