Hi Kelly
This morning you would have got around 84p for every euro, I would recommend you use a currency broker like moneycorp to carry out the transaction for you, the acutal rate you get will depend on the amount you are changing, you can click onto the moneycorp site through the link on this site.

Hi Kelly Maria - use a broker if you are sending a significant amount as they will get the commercial rate for you instead of the tourist rate. The rates change every 4 minutes so it is worth talking to one of the companies about timing, again if you are sending a lot of money. There are lots of companies around, but I use John Mohan at Sterling Exchange and have always been happy with the service and advice. There is no charge for the service and I use internet banking which is also free.
Just a note - if you are sending money from the UK to Spain never send more than 50,000€ at a time or the banks will charge to receive it.
