Car boot sale at the Hipodromo
The Comments |
Hi,
There was a car boot sale at the Hipodromo, La Cala Racecourse yesterday. Did anyone go, and if so, how busy was it? I am thinking of selling up there next week but wanted some feedback about how many people were there (ish).
Gracias, Jane

Hi Jane,
I had a stall there.
There were about 20 stallholders and a steady stream of people from 09:00 till about 13:00.
I think there will be alot more next week as some people wanted to see how the first one went before having a stall there.
I will be going again next week along with the stallholders I spoke with yesterday.
The only downside were the Moroccans who werer there right at the start and were offering silly money for everything.
Most of the stallholders who were there yesterday were doing it to get rid of unwanted items and there weren't many "businesses" there.

Great thanks Neil - I will be doing it to get rid of unwanted items too, and will probably go up there a week on Sunday as we have plans this weekend. What time do you need to be up there for a pitch, and do we take tables or is it literally a ´´car boot sale?´. Thanks again,
Jane

Hi Jane,
We were there at 07:30 which is the opening time for stallholders.
The public are not allowed in until 09:00.
We had tables but I suppose you could just put a sheet down.
