Telefonica/Movistar BILLS
The Comments |
Earlier this year I noticed charges in the section of the bill VOZ - 'A Servicios Avanzados (Novecientos)' 900 numbers dialled.
On closer inspection I discovered that every day, every month, at between 5.55am and 6.05am a call to the same number for a 5second duration is being charged to my phone. This may not seem terribly significant, but it adds just over €3 to every bill. I have called 1004 and spoken to someone who couldn't explain how this was happening, but assured me he would put in place call-barring for that number. It is still happening - every bill - same times, same amounts. I have complained a further twice and been told call barring was not in place but would be now - yet nothing changes.
Is this happening to anyone else out there? How is it possible? The number is 902198899 but no-one is able to tell me what this number is. Any ideas????

Hi
If you google the number then translate the first result you get
If you visit the earpiece of the phone to the computer (without excessive ambient noise) speaker, you'll see as the call occurs without you have to press the keys
Strange
Maybe something you do with your computer/adsl

Googleing the number just brings up websites with lists of numbers without any actual info for that number.
It looks like a "national" rate number.
Certainly something odd. I would send them a fax so that you can show you have something in writing saying that they have not blocked this number and you would like to be reimbursed for the calls made as a result. They still use a lot of faxes here!
It's worth a try.
I'm going to check my phone bill now!
