Mijas Golf Course
The Comments |
Hi,
Can anyone tell me what has happened to Mijas Golf Course .. our apartment overlooks the 16th hole and the grass has turned yellow and is obviously being neglected, as far as I can see, much of the golf course is the same? Any news?
Thanks,
Amatista

I noticed that the grass in parts of the La Quinta course were the same the other day.
I wonder whether it's something to do with the weather. Normally we would be expecting much more rain at this time of the year but there has hardly been any, so maybe they need use their sprinklers a bit more.
Our gardener was telling me the other day that, oddly, grass always looks drier in the winter than in the summer anyway, but like you, I was shocked to see how bad it some courses are looking.

There's nothing wrong, it's the type of grass. My apartment overlooks Condado Signiture course and is the same from around November when weather turns cold and returns to green again when weather warms up around March. Many courses around the Murcia region use this grass as it needs less watering throughout the year.

I was told today by a residisent on the course that the grass has been treated with some chemicals and the area is roped off.
